It is a '92.

Yep, I bought it with plans to swap it into my old 60. I figure the truck will fall apart before it hits 100,000 miles, then spring over the 60 and throw in the Cummins.

That'll be sweet, sounds like a plan to me :)

My wife thinks that it is so ugly that it should live at the shop and not be parked outside of our house. This makes me like it even more.:D

Need to inform her that body style is a classic! probably about the longest lived body style of any truck ever.

hmmm Looked good in the picture. guess I didnt squint hard enough.

That picture was taken at the best angle on purpose, and the only angle with little damage. If you look hard enough, you can see the front bumper is totally trashed.

Congrats on the new tow rig bud , what no 6.5 ? The 13 ain't to shabby for a big block but chime in and let us know what your getting loaded I have a figure of 8 in mind :crybaby: I guess when its paid for the fuel is lagniappe ;)

Ok update on mileage. The fuel economy on the truck in the hills trying to maintain 70 is approximately 8.1 mpg. Towing flatland up until the hills I was getting 9.7. I think part of it was I was trying to hold it in overdrive and it was lugging the engine down. This tank I am maintaining 60 and any hill steep enough that steady pedal will not maintain speed I am shifting down to 4th. Sofar looks vert promising, not to the same rate of consumption guestimating by the needle and the trip odometer but had gone 70 miles on A quarter tank vs 55 at 70 mpg and lugging it.

Can't get over the ride of the truck. It is close to riding in my grandmas grand marquis. Even better after hooking up a trailer and giving it some weight inthe rrear.

I would not pull that trailer in overdrive, your tranny will not like that. My 94 half ton had a sticker in the door jam that said not to as well and it blew some oil out while hauling 4wheelers to the dunes on a overpass in overdrive.

Got home yesterday just before a real problem. Borrowed my bud's 2006 Chevy 2500 Duramax for the trip. Made it there and back with no problems. Parked in front of the house, off-loaded the 40, disconnected the trailer and was going to move the truck into the driveway to unload. It started for about 30 seconds and then just died instantly. We have not been able to start it since. Long story short, we have come to the conclusion that the fuel pump went out. After searching for a while, we found that the fuel pump may be in the tank although some say it's in the engine bay....we don't see it. Can anyone confirm that the fuel pump is in the tank or not?

N injin:)

CP-3 pump on the engine, Its the same as most Dodge set ups.

hope its not that. Had a chance to put a gaude on it and see pressure?

Tried some of Paul's suggestions with same result. John is having it towed to the stealership to have them check it out. He has friends in the right places. ;) I hope it's not the pump either after hearing the prices on those things. Apparently, someone is proud of it......
