Hey guys! Been on the site a long time. Been through three other cruisers over the years. Had a 62 a 60 and an 80. Helped with many other builds and have always enjoyed being part of the community.

Monday I picked up my first 100 series. It’s a 2006 galactic grey non AHC truck. It has 186k on it. Super clean, zero rust, interior almost perfect. Came with lift and KO2’s. Although crawling under it there is no dirt or mud to speak of so it’s seen very very little off pavement use.

this particular truck spent most of its life in Oklahoma City before coming to North Carolina last year.
It belonged to a friend of mine. He had a bunch of cars and was willing to let this go knowing I was in the market for a clean 100. After driving it I was sold immediately. I have looked at quite a few 100’s over the past few months but nothing as clean as this. I paid dearly - current market pricing - but it’s what I wanted.

it came with extensive service history and timing belt was done last year. 8,000 miles ago.

So far I am over the moon with it. Cant believe how great it drives for a lifted truck. Looking forward to my 100 ownership. It’s been raining since I got it, but I’ll give her a full detail later.
I would like to find out what height OME it is sitting on. Also looking at the Trail Tailor diff drop. P.O. Just put a brand new factory diff and axles in at a cost of $4600. Axles were leaking due to lift and something about it wore out a gear or broke a tooth in there or something. I didn’t quite understand but P.O. instead of bother fixing it he just replaced it with new. But… if all this came from the lift and diff drop can correct it I’m all for it.
I’ve got to do some reading on here this platform is all new to me and all my other trucks were stock height.
So here is my new baby!

That thing is beautiful! Nice score.

Visually, it looks like you're on OME 2865 or 2866 rear springs, which should yield around 1.5" of lift. Hard to say. The 2865 should be smoother and less stiff than the 2866, which is designed for more weight. I have the 2866, and without a rear bumper mine is a bit bouncy. Someone with more experience can confirm a wheel center to fender measurement, which would probably get you closer to knowing exactly what is in there.

Diff drop is a good idea regardless of lift. It's not very expensive and will keep your CVs happy for a lot longer. Since the whole front of the drivetrain has been replaced, if you add a diff drop you'll probably not have to mess with it until the truck is in the 350k+ range.

Such a great color. Congrats again.

Interested in seeing more of that Heritage Edition sticker on the rear panel there.

Thanks! Something the previous owner had made. I’m on the fence about them. They are kinda cool. Would be a lot better if they were applied straight. It’s going to bug the hell out of me so I’ll most likely remove them when I detail it.

Installed a Draw Tite hitch that I bought off Etrailer. It was $209 and installed in about an hour.
I was excited the truck had never been used for towing. I have a kayak/utility trailer I pull from time to time. And I think they look better with a hitch.
I however was not happy with Etrailer’s shipping. 70 lb hitch in an empty box with no padding?
It was a little dinged up. But no damage and hardware was all there. So no biggie. All touched up now.

I guess I should follow up by mentioning I will have to relocate the trailer wiring harness. Haven’t really looked into it yet. I’ll get around to that soon.

Nice kokopeli avatar. Slice of the southwest.

A diff drop will prolong the life of the front CV joints. A wise investment ASAP.

I recently bought the best hitch etrailer had for my Sienna…. Same story as yours. Tons of chipped edges all over. I called and complained and basically ended up settling for a $10 refund. That was their way of covering the cost of black touchup paint. I’m over it. Sprayed it all down with Fluid Film and called it a day.

One of my least favorite things about my truck was the tired look of the faded centerline trim. So yesterday I set out to fix this. I chose to go with trim black from SEM for a little contrast. A great paint by the way! I highly recommend. So I taped them off, scuffed them up, wiped them down and gave them the business.

Today I was excited to take the trim to the next level. The black need some contrast. So I wanted to add the Three stripe design for fun and a splash of color. Love how it turned out!

Those pics qualify for eHundy.com

Nice. Throw up a larger but matching 3 strip sticker in rear window to tie it together. Though I like classic silver moulding, those look look clean- I recently dropped a few coins and ordered OEM ones. Maybe I shoulda tried paint first. Haha
