I have a torn boot on our gx470 daily driver. I've never done a cv before but it looks simple enough. However, I'm a stickler for using fsm torque specs. Anybody have these off hand? any any others i would need...

the two bolts at the bottom of the control arm
caliper bolts
sway bar
axle nut

Any others I may need? I'm pretty mechanically inclined (had an 80 and serviced those axles a few times as well as installed the trd supercharger among other maintenance items). I'm kinda wingin' this one, I should be able to figure it out as i go.

should I be using pfran's boot clamps? I don't have special tools or know if it's needed to tighten oem boot clamps...

Thanks in advance!

the two bolts at the bottom of the control arm - 100 ft/lbs (control arm bushing bolts, 118 ft/lbs for lower ball joint)
caliper bolts - 91 ft/lbs
non-KDSS sway bar bracket - 30 ft/lbs
non-KDSS sway bar end links - 52 ft/lbs
axle nut - I do not have, sorry.

You don't have to take off your caliper to remove a CV. Just do the CV nut, the lower spindle nuts (forward and rear), and remove the sway and tie rod. Swing the whole thing to the side and remove the CV.
