guys reviving old threads here. ive just converted a 105 with a manual 1hz to an a442f 1hdfte and seems the power switch illuminates on the dash but changes nothing to do with shifts? my question is when in 3rd OD off does the torque converter lock cos I also feels it doesnt lock untill 4th at 60 klms an hr, so I have a few faults I think, the 4speed feels like a big gap between 3rd and 4th but it that do with the tc failing to lockup in 3rd before it drops into 4th, I have a upgraded large turbo and it will turbo flutter air surge between 3 and 4th as its a big rpm drop, I couldnt drive the wreck properly to experience what it was like before hence the stupid questions.
