Like it says, I'm looking for tools to clean the contacts on the connectors in the kick panels. I thought I'd finished cleaning them up but the gremlins are back and I'm trying to get the small pins cleaned up without breaking them. I used a coarse brush the first time with iso alcohol and contact cleaner but it left me feeling unrequited so I am looking for better "stuff".

Give compressed air a go

Have you fixed the water leak yet?
step one, fix leak
step two, clean with electrical contact cleaner
step three, protect with dielectric grease

don't listen to the blochead on here who doesn't understand what dielectric grease is and what it isn't, their solution to this very problem is not to let it happen in the first place, great advice... I mean what a genius.

I had corroded pins in a connector on my 80 that I got shined up with tiny pieces of emory cloth pushed in and out with a tiny jewelers screwdriver. Then contact cleaner and dielectric grease. Worked perfectly after that and was a permanent fix.

Deoxit is a product I've used with success.

It’s the corrosion on the pins and sockets so air won’t do it.

a. Yes
b. Looking for a contact cleaner that will remove the corrosion on both the pins and sockets
c. Using the same grease we use on 25 kv cable (splicing, not pulling) so I’m thinking it will be okay.
