...my garage is a s***pile of tools which are pushed out of the way between projects. I need to finish cleaning and organizing my garage this weekend. It looks like my toolbox puked all over the place.

I'm in the same boat. Have you seen my garage?

Note: how many 2f engines can you count?

Yup there are three thats why I need someone to come take one away before I head to the scrap yard with it.

Spent some time out there today trying to clean up the garage. I have so much crap I need to get out of there.

...you guys dont even want to play that game. I have you ALL beat. Its gotten so bad my garage has started spilling into the driveway!
2 boats, mostly apart
1 crusier in 100 pieces, taking up 2 bays
A ton of small engine work stuff, chainsaws etc.

I have found that keeping the 'storage' space away from the work space is a huge plus. I have been putting parts in the barn's loft and arranging the parts on the little mezzanine in the shop so I can store more.

In this picture I started cleaning in prep for bedliner on the 40.

Nice center console Pat. Is it a Mako? After doing so much lobster diving with my uncle this year, I've given some thought to getting something in the 19' size.

Nice. I love diving. Haven't done it in a few years.

Yea, me too. First open water dive was on an old sailboat that was sunk in the Panama
Canal!

I don't even have room for the dumpster that my wife has threatened me with. I wish I had a neat and clean garage and yard like the ones pictured.

Waxoiled the Chevy and the 100..............fun. :hillbilly: The chevy was a nice shade of brown...............the 100 came out a little on the pink side. :flamingo:
Girls peeled the crayons, used to be nothing but nubs left when I was kid.

The only reason I can walk around in there because I 'cleaned up' a bit and stood my tub on the tailgate.

That being said, I sprayed some bed liner last night. Got a TON of taping done, and said "well its time to start spraying' Fired up the compressor and tried to adjust the pressure down from wide open, then the pressure regulator blew up in my hand. I looked over in the corner and realized I jsut filled the power tank.

Oh yea, game on.

I am going to try to spray the whole truck with the power tank. Its clean, DRY CO2 and it costs me a whopping 25$ to fill it! Another bonus is I dont have to listen to the compressor the whole time I am spraying!

Regulator after spraying, it didnt freeze up, but it got a little frosty!

Too funny. I just used the power tank for a brad nailer in the basement so I didn't have to run air line down there.

This weekend, I worked on cleaning my garage. I spent both days on it, and although I've made progress it still isnt done. I moved benches around, the compressor and blast cabinet, moved the drill press and vise. I put away about 60% of my tools. I have a bucket where I will be dumping all of the miscellaneous nuts, bolts and screws. Next step is to make a bolt board with the appropriate info so I can sort it all out this winter when it gets cold.

After welding together the server racks I'd picked up from Craigslist this past year, I still had an aluminum console rack that I didnt know what to do with. After spending some time in this welding class I'm taking with some friends, I noticed how nice it was to tack my workpiece to the table and not have to screw around with the ground cable. I had all of these parts laying around in the garage, so I came up with an idea to make a table which can drop down when not in use. When I go to class on Thursday, I'm going to see if they want to put some sheet steel in the brake and make me a welding surface which I can bolt to the frame below. The way I see it at this point, the rack will definitely hold some weight and its in the bottom 1/3 of the overall height. I will be counter balancing the bottom with a bunch of heavy stuff which I never use. I dont see it tipping, but will address it if I need to.

These server racks are the best form of free storage. If I had a set of pallet racks, I'd cut/weld them to do this same thing. Anyways, here is my new welding table:

Where is the welding class held?!?!?

Keefe Technical School in Framingham. Its off 135 near Speen St. I was hoping it would be like other welding classes where there is access to all kinds of materials and equipment. I wanted to get a few sticks bent up so I could make a basic cage, but they dont have a bender from what I can tell.

They do have shears and a big press. They go over oxy/acetylene, Arc, Mig and Tig. At this point we've made it to a few days of Mig. All I can say is, I want to get a bottle for my mig. I've had it with slag.

thanks Rick!

Finished the brakes and installed Speed Bleeders per Rick's suggestion. First time I had fun bleeding brakes and it took 10 minutes to flush the lines. Great product.

Rick - I owe you a beer.

Speed Bleeders are...

Just finished up a few things on the 80 that I've been putting off long enough....Rick you can stop reading now that your a 40 guy and no longer deal with such things as 80's....;)

Have been chasing a starting delay issue since I've had the truck. Finally changed the starter. Keeping to old one to rebuild for a spare. While I was there, did the dreaded PHH. I got lucky as I've been putting this one off. It had swelled up pretty good and was weeping a bit. It would be a nightmare to change this thing on the side of the road!!!! I also by-passed the rear heater as the lines were looking very crusty. Replaced a lot of other heater hose while I was there. 15 years, it was time for sure!

Installed my Alcan's today. Bruce, Russ and Gus stopped by to help.

The front seem to fit fine but I'm not really thrilled with how the rear fit.
