Wow. That swaybar link looks kinda scary.

Yeah its not ideal by a large margin but I'm not sure how its scary. It made it so I could throw a sway bar on to test my truck...I'll be making actual quick discos in the near future. :meh:

Axle wrap?

I saw Wildman bend a spring like that up on Wally's rock course when Wally pulled him off a pile of rocks.

Got some work done on the 45 this weekend. Pulled the motor, removed the steering box bracket, sway bar and front and rear axles/leaf springs.

sorry, my curiosity is killing me...how does one bend leaf springs like that??

My 4Runner calipers locking up my 33s in a 10mph panic stop. I think I actually bottomed out on my bump stops and that acted like a pivot point and the axle just twisted the spring. I think the cure is another set of springs with long AALs and some shackle/hanger work to keep it low.

Got a little more work done on the 45. Finished up the tranny mounts and plating the front end and

got some help from Jim Barton and we pulled Mike's rear third and corrected an Aussie install problem. Slowly picking at Mike's issues.

When I started the truck was getting 12mpg, this weekend I averaged 17.2mpg. About all I can expect to eek out of one of these beasts.

the first thing I do is swap in some cleaned injectors. While doing that clean the throttle body, replace the plugs, cap and rotor.

One thing that might have helped that MPG number was the fact that the fan clutch was totally shot. So no drag on the engine :frown:

I did the injector swap on Jim's 92 and he saw a jump of 2 MPG.

Failed inspection, need to put one fender flair back on and they can't pass it with a lit ABS light and CEL anymore. The same place passed it last year in WORSE shape. Made an appointment at a different place for Tuesday to give me time to put the flair back on at least.

Dave, it's a 93 and they can't scan the ECU, just yank the bulbs out of the dash cluster, 10 minute job!

I need to do that too! ABS light has been on since I got it.

The first thing to do is clean all the sensors. It's pretty easy, you just need to pull out the sensor which is either 1 or 2 bolts and slide it out. You want to wipe off the end completely and put it back in.
