We were lucky enough to move it just a few feet back and put it on the trailer so I'll be able to move it around if needed.

Popped in a new/used 80 series master cylinder onto the 55. (Thanks to Nat for the donation) Put on new rear calipers and pads as well. Needs a bit more bleeding but working well already. Better than the old one for sure.

Then I hit the underside with my trusty Rustoleum. There was some minor surface rust popping up and I also wanted to get it purdy. Plus I haven't huffed paint in months.

so,,,,um,,,,what size ball,,,,um on that thare trailer,...humm:D

Almost done installing new EBC heavy duty slotted rotors, green stuff pads and new calipers all around. Just have the driver side rear to go then a bit of bleeding. From there it's on to rewiring my 4WD ECU to get it ready for a new Marlin Crawler Lefty tcase.

Replaced busted axle today. Fixed busted stud. So easy. Man I love full float!

So, put a mini-truck booster and an 80 series MC on the 55. Works awesome but the brakes drag so I need to shorten the pushrod. Just want to confirm before I pull the pushrod out to trim it that it'll slide right back in and I won't need to buy another booster. Anyone? Thanks in advance!

Welded up the end cap on the front bumper of the 40.
Had used a little 110 mig the first time and it wasn't enough,
should stay this time.
New starter, the old one wouldn't engage every time and it
was really annoying. So the new one is in and works great.
Was unloading the toolbox from the back and noticed my recovery
bag was gone. Think it must have fallen out on the Sunday run at the spring meeting.
Anyone happen to grab it? Pissed that I lost it but lucky that I'd tossed my D-rings and
straps in the front so all that's missing is the snatch block.

I have the rod down to the lowest setting as it sits. Still presses into the MC a bit too much. If I can pull the rod and grind off .5 in then I should be good. The FAQ sectionk mentions shortening the rod but I don't want to pull it thri the front of the booster and ruin the seal. One person said its ok but there are plenty of nutcases on here.

If you ran Wambus we ran it later in the day after you guys were gone. I didnt notice it but unless it was right on the trail I wouldnt have seen it.

We were over on the "twin bridges" trail.
I'm going to run up there tomorrow and look around. Don't really have much hope
of finding anything.

I am doing some modifications to my weber carb, It was getting flooded on hills, checked out this thread in the hardcore section "how to make a weber climb a hill", after reading it and taking the top off it all made sense, there are 2 vents that vent the float bowl, on an incline gas will pour out from the bowl and directly into the venturi stalling it, so like in the instructional video I took jb weld and sealed up the vents, then there is a sealed vent that you drill out and vent it out there, Has anyone done this?

Todays progress...... Good think my neighbors like me.

So I drove the 80 work the other day and on start up it was running real rough. I stopped home for lunch and left the 80 in the driveway, I found an exhaust leak behind the second cat at the joint. I went to the dealership grabbed the gasket and proceeded to start on removing the bolts, (although they weren't bolts more like threaded spikes) the bottom was rusted on real good but after some liquid wrench and pounding with a hammer it loosened and came right out. Now it just slides in and out of the hole. The top one is rusted as well but after two days of liquid wrench on it and mulitple treatments it still won't budge,:bang: is it possible that these may have been welded in place? If so, is there anything I can do with limited tools:banana: to get this off. (i.e. chisel the weld)???

Thanks
Scott

grab a sawzall and cut the head off the bolt and hammer the rest threw, i just replaced all the exahust gaskets in 3- 80's yesterday and today, the sawzall got a workout

SUCCESS!!!
So after :censor: around with this project this morning and getting nowhere and reading Rick's post, I decided maybe I should let a professional handle this. I took the car to my mechanic and went home to prepare myself for the bill.:bang:

I got home read your post and said :censor: it. I drove to home depot grabbed a couple metal blades and drove back to pick up the cruiser.

Got home got down to business whilst being ever so careful not to be too rough. I sawzalled both saids and pryed a little with a screwdriver and, pop, it gave way. Installed the new gasket after cleaning the area thoroughly and its purring like a Cruiser.

I have been driving around for a month now with the CEL on, my buddy who is a mechanic a Jaffarian said I needed to replace my rear O2 sensor...I pulled the negative terminal, reset the computer, and restarted the car so far no CEL. Not to say that won't change once i've driven it for a bit but either way I'm feeling pretty good.

:beer::beer::beer:

Thanks for the advice!
Scott
