To entune or not entune; that is my question.

Picked up a new 2021 HE a couple weeks ago. Got an email from Toyota telling me to download entune app.

When I went to the app store, the reviews were so universally horrible, I didn't get it.

Am I missing anything by not having it?

Also, should I sign up for the free 3 year SOS button stuff? I thought I might have the communication with Toyota turned off.

Obligatory pics.

I found Entune useless. I thought they were retiring the Toyota sos system? Anyhow, I’ve never tried to use it, so no idea whether it works.

SOS reminds me of a parody skit:

I don't use it either. Nice silver HE by the way!

I'm also not taking advantage of the free oil changes. I don't trust anyone at our local dealership with that job.

Perfect!
Exactly the kind of info I needed.

I know nothing of the local dealer service departments, but I have 4,695 miles to drive before I make that decision.

Congrats! Nice LC!

Do you happen to live in the greater Raleigh area? I was there this weekend and either saw your rig or one just like it with no tags.

You don’t trust Toyota to do an oil change?

Dealers, half the reason they’re so expensive is because if they screw something up they’ll fix it.

No. Memphis.
Doppleganger.

I think it would depend on the dealer's service department.

I think there are 3 in Memphis, but I've never used any of them and know nothing of their reputations.

I've had some good experiences and some bad experiences with dealer service from other brands.

Right.

Well, check Yelp, Google, etc. see what you get. I would fully have confidence in a Toyota dealer, personally. My LX was always serviced at Toyota by the PO.
