I've got a guy who will haul it away for you for nothing... Perhaps even give you a couple bucks for it.

Not a LC, but a lotta truck for the money.

Those are supposed to be pretty good trucks? Too bad it would be hard to get parts?

those patrols are pretty rad, wider than a 60 for sure

They are really good trucks. Were used by the UN for a while. Popular in Aus and NZ. The 4.2 in this one is known to be very indestructable and give good economy.

The main problem (you're right) is parts. But, the truck is popular elsewhere, so really it's just a matter of waiting on shipping. So if it's not a daily driver, then it would probably not be a big deal. Would probably be rare to have a breakdown that stopped the truck dead in it's tracks.

The thing I like about these, is with less popularity, you save huge on price. Compared to a similar HZJ77, this thing is really cheap. Has a comparable drive train. The auto is the one drawback with this truck.

Yuck, too bad auto.... I just think they look really cool too when built up, tough looking. Too bad not offered here in LHD>

You'd have to drive a 4.2 n/a auto to appreciate how easily they can leave a slug trail....

When I had that little quadcab nissan, it had the td27 in it ( td doesn't stand for turbodiesel.) which is pretty much a 4.2 with a couple cylinders knocked off. They share a lot of parts.

None of which were easy to find here. Although that engine was used in london taxis, so that could've been a source, but I wasn't into it.

Also, from what I read on various boards, the trannies suck. Even the manuals. Which is odd, because I've heard that the axles are an upgrade over cruiser axles.

In the end with the nissan, I just didn't feel like learning a new language, went back to what's semi familiar.

Where's that?

Quite a ways from Malmo... It's the blue one Cam dropped off a couple years ago.

Both gear driven industrial engines. Drove a TD27TI in a Homy van, impressive power with the intercooler. Piggybacked pump scared me.

^This.

Thats a lot of moving Germanic parts. Sure would be fun to rip around in though.
