Is he concerned about corona or something? People in Vic are pretty bizarre on average though....

I had that with the dude I bought my lathe from. Wouldn't give address, said he'd meet me at ferry and I could follow him.

I asked if he wanted me to wear a blindfold so I couldn't find my way back...there was a loooong pause before he replied.

Weird times tho. I have a pile of crap to get rid of, it's gonna have to wait.

Regarding the little truck, there was a red one for sale up island a couple months ago, also claimed "one ton" was even a factory badge on the back that said it.

I don't know what they changed to claim that over the regular 2wd?

The little 1 Ton trucks have significant suspension upgrade. Capable of 2600 lbs load.
They also have a longer box, 7’ 3”. Turns out he was playing me against another guy.
I told him I was coming down, did he have a transfer form? I’m betting he told the other guy
someone was coming with money so makeup your mind. So he arbitrarily decided
to let the other guy wait until tomorrow to decide, then he gonna get back to me.
****er... I was coming down tonight

some 80's graphics.

Saw a first gen a few years ago in nanaimo, original box with the full 80's graphics, chrome roll bar with lights, perfect 1980's time machine, complete with Billy Ocean blaring on the stereo. It was far too awesome for the rest of the people that parking lot.

Victorians generally don't travel, so they tend to assume others won't either. I've found my inquiries don't get taken seriously if I tell them where I am, like they can't fathom someone driving that far.

When I was in chemainus I don't know how many times I had stuff for sale, and the victorianites would recoil in horror when they realized it was in chemainus and I wasn't going to deliver.

Didn't matter if I told them it was less than an hour from downtown. Pretty much gave up on used vic. :meh:

I think that's why I got my set of 35" from Duncan for a good price even after they'd been on usedvic for a while. Lady said people were asking her to deliver. All she had was a little import sedan....would have been four trips for her...if she could even fit one in her car...:bang:

It's really kinda weird.

My parents are always doing the used vic thing, same thing happens every time. (It's not just me )

They're just so freaking cheap they'd rather put up with the crying about distance and delivery requests for the extra 5 bucks rather than the cheap bastards from used cow or nanaimo...

Any idea if it’ll turn the hubs/discs off an E350 ford Ambulance? If it would... then I would also have it around for other Landcruiser discs... and perhaps even a drum or two here or there.

E350 ‘Discs’ on a dually are about $300 a piece, and a part of the hub. I’d like to turn mine, but the last thing I’d want is some overzealous nose picker taking more than absolutely necessary.

I'm seriously tempted by this thing too. Rotors are pricey, and getting them turned by a shop is expensive too. $150 would have easily paid off for me already a few times. But I really know nothing about how to turn rotors properly.... If I did buy, I'd be willing to do rotors for people in the club.

Good price considering what these tend to go for. Way more bang for the buck than similar year Tacomas. More power with similar mpg, and no frame issues to deal with. I really should be looking at this. Although with block heater etc., might be from the rust belt of Canada.... $8,250 · 2006 Toyota Tundra Limited

A check engine light for “some sort of timing issue’ that should clear up with an oil change and flush? I’m not sure... sound a bit like something I’d want to flush myself, At very least, bring a scanner and check out for myself. I’m always sceptical of people selling their junk who say it’s a simple fix... if it’s so simple why not just do it so you don’t have to explain it.

“Honest the wiring is fine... I just haven’t taken two minutes to replace the light bulb... I’d rather spend five trying to convince you there’s nothing to worry about.”

Yeah, I thought that was a little concerning too....haha! I do like those trucks, but that one seems to need some love for sure. Anyhow, my LJ is still trucking along fine, so I won't be making a move right now.
