Oh yeah, they bring the HP way up to something like 52! :steer:

Add a well set up turbocharger with a intercooler and proper exhaust system a cam, some good head work i bet they could make decent power for a small diesel

Toyota FJ 55 iron pig - $7000

Given the choice between these two, I'd take the piggy... even if 7k is more than 8.5k. $8500 for a rusty 42 with a plywood window, rust, rust, and more rust... thanks, I'll pass.

Cool fiberglass pop top trailer for a decent price. Would be perfect to tow behind a cruiser. Stored under cover which is a huge plus when buying a trailer of any type. No affiliation....

I saw one of those in Lafayette, La last year. They are kind of rare. Cool truck for the right person.

Verify legitimacy of this one. I got a funny feeling it's bogus

I think it's legit. I've seen a number of bogus things on Used Vic, and one thing they all have in common is not posting a location. The fact this person is in Central Saanich and talks about Brentwood Bay makes it sound pretty real.

Ok, just never heard anyone compare a land cruiser to a cummins before.

Thats why they need help....:hillbilly:

That said, I can sort of see the similarities. Both are direct injection 12v straight six motors with bosch/denso rotary injection pumps.

How is a help wanted add going to screw you over without you being an idiot?

They know Cruiser guys are always willing to help and always carry a couple hundred cash in their wallet, they invite you over to have a look and jump you with a bunch of their jeep buddies and steal your wallet! ;) They run off laughing like school girls, off to buy some jeep axles to break next weekend! ;)

I could totally see that happening.

They know you'd never report it, wanting to hide the shame of being beat up by chachi gang.

a 70 that isn't insanely overpriced for once.

Tempting, but I'm sick of toyota sheet metal...

Graham needs another project. :D

Or someone could talk this guy down a couple g's and swap the BJ70 drive train in to this clean LJ78 ( 1992 land cruiser prado ). Could even swap the heavy duty front from the 70 to the 78 to give it the right look. Could take it further and use the 70 parts to make the 78 LHD. Fairly big project, but would be a nice combo when done.
