I just had a general question for everyone. I had this TJM bumper installed on my LX470 recently. There is a huge gap in the front and I was curious to see if there is anyway to have the bumper readjusted to remove some of the gap. The guy that installed it says it can’t move anymore to get rid of some of this gap. Just thought I would see if anyone else with this bumper has had this issue?

That actually looks pretty good to me. On most bumpers there is a bit of a gap to ensure that if you bump into something at low speed (as one does when wheeling) the bumper won't flex into the sheet metal. ARB comes with a rubber piece attached to cover the gap, and somebody on here fashioned a DIY solution a few months ago. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Where did you order that from and how much did you pay for the install? Thanks!

found it.

I don’t mind a little bit of gap but it sort of bugs me and even if I could possibly adjust it an inch that would help. Thanks for finding that thread! I may do that.

Bumper Superstore. I actually have another for sale if you are interested. I paid $125 for him to install it for me.

That’s about where I set mine. Maybe an 1/8 to a 1/4” lower?
Okay. I saw yours. Quick question which lights are those in the front bumper? I’m looking for some lights to place in those upper middle holes of the bumper.

The only place the gap appears even a little bit excessive is that middle section. But, because of the way that top plate is designed/cut, even if the rest of the top plate were touching the truck, that gap would remain. But really, the gap looks normal - the right amount to allow a bit of flex.

Gotta have the gap to account for body mount flex. Looks like it’s where it’s supposed to be.

I have the T13 on my LX and the gap looks the same. You can loosen the bolts holding it to the winch cradle and adjust it a little and maybe get it slightly closer but I wouldn't

These are the ones, I think, but I would reference the diagram for sizing and check to be sure. I had to grind down the cooling fins on one corner to get them to fit. They worked fine for a bit, but no longer. If I were to do it again I’d go with one of the better quality companies. These only worked for a few months. We put Diode Dynamics fogs in my son’s bumper- far superior build quality, and great output. Something like this- Stage Series 2" SAE/DOT Yellow Sport Flush Mount LED Pod (pair) - https://www.diodedynamics.com/stage-series-2-sae-dot-yellow-sport-flush-mount-led-pod-pair.html
Cheap LEDs are fine for testing, but if you want the lights to last I think I’ve learned that you’ve got to be willing to spend a bit. And then you can laugh everytime you turn them on.

Okay sounds good! Thanks for the opinion.

I’ve been looking at that bumper, would you mind posting or sending some more pictures from a little farther out, front/quarters/side?

That’s great thank you. Have been eyeing this as a really low-key option for what is mostly a daily driver. Is everyone happy with them after a while? How heavy are they?
