@cruzerDave @CreasyBear you could possibly but you would have to be super careful The material changes to a whitish finish and at least in my case felt fuzzy You might consider using a sharp chisel or something to reduce how much you have to sand
I chose to sand it all because the seams looked bad as well

Solved the snorkel to airbox problem:

Buy (2) rubber couplings from home depot for 3" pipe (comes with clamps), and a 24" work piece of ABS 3" Pipe. Cut the pipe down to 12", give your kid the other half to play with, bingo bango waterproof for $20.

So I'm guessing the appeal of this particular snorkel is the fact that it's somewhat low profile?

Its less than $70! What do you all expect? The TJM one if you can find one is well over $300, closer to $400.

BTW, 100 hp = POWER FUL!

I’m wondering if you use Rustoleum Bedliner rattle can spray if it will look and last way longer thank plasti dip.

I have use that on my bumpers and it’s pasted years of off-roading.

Just a thought.

For me it is about the low profile and the looks. I had a gooseneck style on my last cruiser and am on enough trails around here that are overgrown that it was annoying snagging stuff. This one is much much sleeker. Also, I think it matches the lines of the 100 far better whereas the others looked 'tacked on' to me anyway. I would've gone with a TJM but could not find them in stock, at any price, back when i was buying this knockoff. As for the 'work required' it's all light duty stuff, not like installing rear shocks or something crazy ;) Nice to wrench on easy stuff, especially now that we've figured it all out in this thread for anyone else...

Is that with the logo sanded off? I can’t tell which is great.

Same here. Anybody else see the $70 versions?
