Almost bought the Rancho® RS9000™XL 9-position adjustable series shock but passed as I still want to know if its the same as or if the TJM is better? I like the ride of the OEM shocks but fine tuning sound interesting.
I have a set of the TJM adjustable shocks. They where sold and recommended to me by TJM with a very incomplete 4" lift a couple years back. I was very excited to play with the adjustment but as soon as they where installed I realized I needed a longer shock.
They probably have 15 miles on them from the shop to my house so they are basically brand new.
If anybody is interested send me a PM.
TJM Tiger 9-way Shock lengths! These came on my TJM 50mm progressive lift. Replacing them with Fox 2.0 IFPs this week. (076,073)
Front 650ADJ180B 14.6"c 24"e 9.4"travel
These shocks have a long body to them but not a lot of travel. The shortest extension compared to most other aftermarket popular shocks. Roughly the same travel as OEM. The fronts feel noticeably smoother in their travel compared to the rear.
Rear 650ADJ280B 15.15"c 24.25"e 9.1"travel.
As long as a compressed OME L rear shock (15.25c) and less travel than OEM (9.6"). TJM should have supplied a rear bump extension IMO. They don't feel good cycling them off the truck, they had to bottom out.
On the truck they seriously felt best while driving windy paved mountain roads and highways. Fully loaded I'd turn them up to 7-8 and had minimal body roll, I felt confident taking corners.
Fast dirt roads taking in bumps and hits they never felt great but weren't horrible. I wouldn't go bragging about the ride. I ride Fox on most of my bikes and have a few friends who work for them here so I got a good price on the Foxes. Also had pretty good reviews on here for being performance, non-baller shocks. And I'll get more travel too.
