I've got a 97 LC80 anniversary edition, it has the Slee 4" lift on it with 35" BFG all terrains on it, Im going to need new tire soon.......I know slee's site says this lift is for up to a 35" tire, but I am wondering if any of you have went bigger, and what the results were? Also if I cant go any bigger, What do I have to do to go bigger, I know they will fit, its got plenty of clearance, I'm assuming it would be gearing.

Short version.

Gearing:
Stock gears, force 2nd gear up big hills at 4,000-4,200 rpm and go 65-70mph. I and many others do it all the time.

Can you post pics of the 4 inch lift with 35's @mblount82

Adding to what Mr. Funny @richardlillard1 was saying... Fitting tires has nothing to do with suspension. One should be able to rest completely on the bump stops without coils, no matter what size tire. It all has to do with the correct bump stop spacing. You most likely need to add more bump stop spacing. I'm assuming you have 2" bumps with that Slee 4" kit. I would say start with 2.5" bumps front & rear. Also try to get as close to 3.75" back spacing on the wheel as possible.
