AutoPager for Ih8mud (no more clicking the "Next" button)

Anyone out there (using Firefox or Chrome) tired of constantly hitting the Next Page button on multi-page threads? Are you sick of paging through the topics section in your respective forum? I know I am, so I decided to do something about it. There is an extension for Firefox and Chrome called AutoPager which automatically recognizes when you have reached the bottom of a page and then keeps on feeding you the next page. No more hitting the next button! Only problem is that no one had ever configured it for use with the ih8mud website...until now! I put together a little guide that should assist anyone wanting to try this out on Mud. Basically, I just did a little testing and configured it to work with this website.

FIREFOX VERSION

Prerequisites:

You should be a tiny bit familiar with Firefox and how to add extensions.

Guide:

1. Install AutoPager: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/autopager/
2. On your computer open up Notepad and copy the following text to it.

<autopager>
<site><urlPattern>https://forum.ih8mud.com/*</urlPattern>
<guid>38A1AF80-7D55-E5E8-F0C2-DFFA-006B-418C</guid>
<margin>1</margin>
<owner>ih8mud</owner>
<enableJS>false</enableJS>
<quickLoad>true</quickLoad>
<published>true</published>
<contentXPath>//body</contentXPath>
<testLink>https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/</testLink>
<linkXPath>//a[@class='smallfont' and (text()='&gt;')]</linkXPath>
<desc>https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/</desc>
</site>
</autopager>

Save this to your desktop and name it ih8mud.txt (not ih8mud.txt.txt).

3. Start Firefox and go to Tools > AutoPager > Import/Export > Import from File.
4. In the window that appears, browse to the location of the ih8mud.txt file (desktop in this guide) and select Open.
5. A window will appear stating that the import has completed. Select OK and you are finished!

If AutoPager does not work for you or if you don't like it, you can easily uninstall it by going to Tools > Add-ons, find the entry for AutoPager and select Uninstall.

CHROME VERSION

1. Add the AutoPager extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mmgagnmbebdebebbcleklifnobamjonh.
2. In the Chrome browser, go to Options (the wrench on the top right) > Tools > Extensions.
3. In the Extensions tab that appears, go to AutoPager Chrome and select Options.
4. In the AutoPager Options tab that appears, find Local Rules and click on Import.
5. In the pop-up that appears, paste the following text (all together - not line by line):

<autopager>
<site><urlPattern>https://forum.ih8mud.com/*</urlPattern>
<guid>38A1AF80-7D55-E5E8-F0C2-DFFA-006B-418C</guid>
<margin>1</margin>
<owner>ih8mud</owner>
<enableJS>false</enableJS>
<quickLoad>true</quickLoad>
<published>true</published>
<contentXPath>//body</contentXPath>
<testLink>https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/</testLink>
<linkXPath>//a[@class='smallfont' and (text()='&gt;')]</linkXPath>
<desc>https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/</desc>
</site>
</autopager>

6. Select OK.
7. You may need to restart your Chrome Browser.

If AutoPager does not work for you or if you don't like it, you can easily uninstall it by going into Chrome Tools > Extensions and deleting the AutoPager extension.

Verified in Firefox. It works. I like it.

Works awesome, thanks! :cheers:
I have another site that is vBulletin (Morotcycle forum), could I just change the places where you have "ih8mud" to the other site and it will work? :D

*Edit*
Never mind. I went on the site and I got a little pop up deal that asked if I wanted to add the site. I clicked yes, and it works. :cool:

Toward the top of the screen right under the "tabs" bar.
Where it asks if you want to enable auto paging, click "yes":cheers:
