Would someone happen to have insight on a tire pressure recommendation for a 275 65 r20 in load range sl? That option doesn’t seem to be available on the tire pressure calculator website I generally use.

Seems like an interesting option for an lx570 with wheel spacers…34.1” tire at 48 lbs which would put an early turbine wheel at 84 lbs total wheel weight (86 lbs for the later split 5 spoke wheels)…which is oem for some wheel and tire packages.

Potentially also able to run an oem 33 psi or perhaps less…not sure yet as I can’t find tables or a calculator that covers this tire.

It’s a standard metric tire, so the 116 load rating is how you evaluate pressure recommendation. If it’s standard 116, then 30 PSI for LX and 33 PSI for LC.

Sure, but I need more info. Best would be a picture of your TIP (Tire Information Placard) which is usually found on the Driver's door jamb and shows stock tire specs, inflation pressure, GVWR, etc.

I don’t think you need @gaijin mystic powers here. Looks like Toyota already did the work for you. The tire you are asking about is the OEM tire size..

Yup. New tire RCTIP is same as stock tire: <160km/h 33psi Front/Rear, >160km/h 33psi Front / 38psi Rear.

Ah ok thanks guys. I thought since I moved from H/T to A/T as well as V to H speed rating, there are adjustments that I should make

The only adjustment you need to make is to limit your top speed to something reasonably less than 210km/h because of the H speed rating on your new tires; but that's a separate conversation...

Sorry, but Nokian do not indicate that they manufacture that tire in that size. (Nokian R5 SUV Tyre Specs)

Are you sure of your specs?
 
Yes 275/65/18 116R XL

The RCTIP for any 275/65R18 116 XL tire on your LC200 is 38psi F/R.

Odd that Nokian do not have them on their web site...

I searched the thread and swear I saw two different answers (or I was reading something wrong), so I’ll just ask to be sure.

Stock 2017 LX 570. Removed the stock 21” rims and replaced with the 18” BBS Forged from a Sequoia Pro. Tires are Michelin LTX A/T2 in P275/65/R18 Rating 114T.

The RCTIPs are different depending on if specified to an LX or an LC. For an LX, the RCTIP for a P275/65R18 is 28psi.

I think quite a few people would suggest running a little higher than that just from a “feeling of more stability” stand point.

Is it as simple as looking at the load range at the bottom of the attached pdf and finding the accepted weight that a lx570 or land cruiser was supposed to have stock?

 
It’s not that simple. but also not much more complicated. I used excel to calculate all the RCTIPs for every tire size listed in the chart. It’s posted in this thread about 20 pages back..
I’ve got 275 60 r20 115 load range at 29.5 psi whereas stock was 285 50 r20 112 at 33 psi (lx570).

Did I miss some math beyond just looking at the tables and comparing the values?

Well, stock is actually a P285/50R20 @ 33PSI. So first you have to figure out what that equates to for a load value. If you notice there is a big warning on top of the ISO metric load charts that say not to use those charts for P-Metric. Once you have that number then you go to the load chart for the tire you are converting to and find the lowest PSI that covers the calculated load from the first step. And you also have to factor in the multiplier if you are switching between P/ISO metric and LT/Flotation tires.

It’s also specified in the documentation that you are allowed to do a linear approximation between entries in the table in the cases where they do not explicitly list a load for a certain PSI.
