Hey all. I am at about 93k on my 2001 and was wondering when most of you have done or plan to do your 90k service. I have been putting it off for financial reasons.

Did mine at 110 or so. And that was only because it was in for other service. No worries. You're driving a tank.

I still haven't gotten my timing belt done at 151k. Hopefully when the weather gets warm I'll knock it out.

DIY saves a lot of money.

My first timing belt was not replaced until 141K. My second replacement is due in about 5K but I am putting it off for about another 10K. You should be fine for a while.

91000 and lookin at a box o parts .
will do it this week .:wrench:

The problem with delaying is the list of things to do at the same time becomes unrealistically long.

I just replaced the sparkplugs at 151k. Only one of the 8 showed some slight wear. They really didn't need replaced. No change in performance.

I changed mine at 140K. I bought the truck at 138K. My service guy (indy) said he has seen them go 2 times the recommended service...I didn't want to take that chance though.

You're not just buying the parts, you're paying for peace of mind. Just did mine on a '99 with 105k that I bought earlier this year. Now I don't have to think about it or worry about it if we take a long trip. It's not cheap, but at the rate we drive we'll do it every 8-10 years which I can deal with.

Thanks guys. Seems I dont have to rush to take care of this....

I have 86K on my 2005 right now and I will be doing the timing belt at 90K exactly. The risk is not worth it to me. Sure it may go much longer with out it. but I don't want to be the one who finds out how much longer. Look into the cost of a timing belt vs. the cost of a new engine.

123K on my t-belt and starter. Will replace starter this weekend. T-belt next time I have an oppportunity.

Are you having starter issues?

Just a heads up, I recently bought a mall cruiser, very well kept its entire life; anyway, at 146k miles the t-belt looked very worn, could've probably snapped anytime. FYI. You might want to do it sooner than later; or at least check it if its original.
