i'll get to them soon, still tring to decide if i want 3 or 4 cross tubes. I'm leaning towards adding the 4th just to being the weight up to an even number.

cross tubes... meaning supports from the frame to the main rail, or, supports from the main rail out to the outer tubing?

i bet 3 would be fine. On the other hand, the supports from the frame to the rail, the more the merrier IMHO. I have three, and they hold, but they do flex when the full weight of the tank is on them.

i'm using 3 pieces of 2x3 box "on end" to go from the frame to the main rail.. I will let you know if it flex's

it will flex, but it will be fine. Just leave about 1.5-2 inches so it can deflect and not hit your rocker. You'll be fine.

i spent all day helping diggity get his clutch in the 40. I will start working on my sliders tomorrow.

Well I got one side welded up today and made one of the three supports that go from the frame to the main tube of the slider. I went with 4 braces from the main box to the outter tube.
I ran out of energy and cutoff wheel. So i called it a day.

Looks good Eric, let me know if you are going to work on it any evening this week and I will be over to help.

Brad came over saturday and worked a couple hours on the sliders, got the outter tubes angled and cut and some of the cross tubes back to the main rail. My 15 year old mikita grinder gave up ghost when the plastic internal fan shattered and went fliying all over the place. Went down to the home depot and picked up a new dewalt, we will see how long this one lasts. Today Brandon came over and we got the all the tubes cut angled and tacked in place. Broke out the torches to start making the frame to main tube supports, then Hissssssssss.. the oxygen regulator let go. so that's where i got with the sliders this weekend. I went over to tractor supply they had one regulator in stock but i was too cheap to pay 90 bucks for it. I found one on ebay and just won it. It is sourced from NC so i should have it in a couple days. Then I will help Jason get his rear bumper on and then start back on the sliders again.

what a weekend, I Think it's time to sit back and have a nice cold one... Oh, I didn't tank any pictures, was afraid i might break the camera.

Except for some gusseting i got the drivers side finished today. Will try to get the passenger side done this weekend.
