Time For Paint

Getting ready to paint our 78' 55, and i guess i was wondering what you guys think the best options are as far as factory colors. Most of the pigs i've seen are green/white, blue/white, red/white, brown/white, and white. This one is blue/white and we really want to go with something else.
My son wants freeborn red/white, but i'd like to see some other options. Post up if you have some pics of other factory combo's. I think like a lemon yellow/white would be cool, but its probably not a factory combo. Rust/white seems to be the most popular, but its too common and i want to be different. Thanks, Mike

I think gray/white looks really cool - my '73 came factory that way, but it's a really pale gray. I think a newer "primer gray" like that have on the Audi TT would look really sweet -

I'm leaning towards an orangish/creamish color scheme, big 'ol creamsicle. There are a couple of threads discussing orig. paint schemes and old-school colors, I would also check those out. They often have samples posted and are great for getting ides.

Go mustard and white That or that pumpkin color and white.

The pumpkin orange is called pollux orange, and is the color i'm painting my 40 this winter. The 55 is my sons first car, and i KNOW he does'nt want his car to match my 40, its a twinkie thing, like you and your wife having matching outfits, NOT ! Grey and white is very cool looking, but not enough pop for a teenager. Great input so far, keep 'em coming.

Go with the orange nothing beats orange best color ever! I might be impartial going to clemson though our colors are orange blue and white. I'll be painting my cruiser orange and white though, maybe as soon as tomorrow (thur).
