The newly aquired 1987 Fj60 is in need of a new clutch. I bought it that way, slips a little in high gear on the highway if you put some load on it.

Question- OE replacement the best way to go here? Or should I get something aftermarket?

I'm brand new to cruisers, and this will be the first repair on the 60. It's my daily driver, so I don't want a hugely stiff pedal, but I do plan on some light to moderate off-road wandering.

Thanks all!

You say FzJ60? Is there other than a stock 2F in your '87? Anyway, my experience with stock LC's is to keep with the oem clutch set up. They're hard to beat.

PS be sure to replace the rear main seal while your in there.

Oops, sorry for the typo. I'm new at the cruiser tech stuff. I get it mixed up with the 80 sometimes.

Does the rear main seal come with the clutch kit, or is it a seperate purchase?
