Tilting Fridge Slide on Ebay (1 Viewer)

Doesn't look like a smart design to me. Tilted fridge might cause contents to slide out. No mechanical advantage to push heavy fridge back in place. And the tilt puts alot of stress on the links holding the rear of the slides.

I get where the tilt could cause issues with the fridge's contents. Aside from that wondering if there are any positives or negatives compared to the other tilt slides. I am probably mounting this on top of my drawers so between the drawers and the lift my truck has I need to figure out an easy way to access the fridge. I like the idea of the drop down slides but at 1k i can not justify it.

I won a fridge in a raffle so I'm naturally looking for a slide for it and I think that seller has the cheapest slides I've seen. I wonder how they are built and if they'd hold up well over time.

Interesting. I'll be reconfiguring my 80 this winter which means tilt down or drop slide if the reconfigure happens as I envision at this point.

It looks like regular slide components, which in all likelihood will be okay. The slide looks like it latches in place when up but don't see a latch point at the strap end to hold it down.

A google search turns up a fair number of options now. Alu-Cab makes one as well I would like to see in person. https://adventure-ready.com/store/alu-cab-fridge-slide/

I understand the option of a tilt slide. With the upper hatch in the way on an 80 with a fridge on top of a drawer system it's either tilt slide or drop down. Learning the pack the fridge due to the tilt feature would make it a non-issue I would think.

How heavy are the retail drop downs that are on the market?

I contacted the seller as I want to know too what keeps it from jumping up and down at the back. I'll report back what I learn

Nothing yet and its been 24 hours - no response

Still nothing. Previous auction ended so I asked again.

They traditionally sell stamps so this must be a new thing

So still no communication from the seller. That's it for me then, prefer to talk with a company that is interested in answering questions

It's a bit more expensive .. but it's still the cheapest. I added other shock absorbers, the strap is different, the tilt is adjustable, etc .. I also manufacture other products and I have new projects that are still in test..

Always great to have another idea and option for our stuff.. Now that you are here, I hope you stick around, and consider upgrading your status to a higher level to encourage more positive exposure to the MUD market.
It is always great to support a great market source.

Hey there, I just got one of these and they are really cool.
It fits the Engels with the Engel covers even.
DFG Offroad Fridge Slide and Tilt for ENGEL MT35 - 45 | Drop Dawn

I like how you can adjust the back straps to limit the drop angle, and the shocks do a good job of helping it tilt down.
My wife loves the ability to see inside now.

I plan on using T nuts and stainless cap head screws to mount it into my Drifta Box. has anyone modded a power cord to work with this from underneath?

Shipped quick from Florida, just beating Hurricane Michael , and came with straps, and screws and a baggie and sticker.
