Tightening the gear shift stick.

I need to tighten the gear shift stick because it got loose and rattles while driving. To do this I have to remove the plastic cover which surrounds the thing but after removing the screws it simply won't budge! Any ideas? Thanks.

The cover comes off, and there are some plastic bushings in there that will need to be replaced. There may be some hidden screws under the lights (AT Temp).

As John says, there are two hidden screws under the warning plate (or the AT warning light - can't remember). Just pry the cover loose and you'll see the screws.
