Hey everyone,
I'm going through my 93 LJ78 Prado and beginning to swap out fluids. I can't for the life of me find what gear oil goes in the diffs. I've tried many of the links for the manuals on here, and all the links have been broken. Can anyone help me out?

While we're at it, which type of fluid for the manual trans?

Cheers,
Ian

Diffs: API GL5 SAE90 hypoid gear oil. If you rear axle has an LSD: with respective additives (API GL5 LS SAE90 hypoid). SAE 85-80 would also work.
Manual gearbox and transfer case: API GL4 SAE90 gear oil.
Not recommended to use multi range oil GL4-5 with older gearboxes , as those oils may have additives that interfere with nonferrous metal, which may be present e.g. in the synchro rings.
Cheers Ralf

Thank you! Just a quick follow-up question, did you mean SAE 85-80 or 85-90?

either, important part is the gl5 or gl4 part..... ie yellow metal deterioration in the trans with gl5
