The trunnion bearings take a beating and need to be replaced more frequently than the wheel bearings. If they weren't replaced last year and are ?? years old, most of us on the forum would probably have replaced them while everything was apart.

However based on what was written above it's possible that the shop may not have cleaned, inspected, or repacked the trunnion bearings??

Either way, glad it's all together now.

As far as I can tell, yes. Didn't drive it a ton yet. Going to take in on a longer ride tomorrow, but seems good.

Pay close attention for any new rumbling/roaring from the front end when you first start out in the morning tomorrow ie: in the first 1/2 mile or so.

All good. Took it on a 50 mile round trip to the junkyard to scavenge parts for my 71 Fiat this morning. Was a successful day all around. Lots of great hard to find parts for barely any $$ which you have to love. The LC drove like a champ, nice and quiet. Well, as quiet as a big tank like that can be anyway.
