Thule 300 or 387 gutter feet?

I need to get Thule gutter feet for my 80. It still has the factory rack, which I plan on removing. I carry canoe & kayaks in the summer, skis in the winter.

Do the 300 feet allow the load bars to clear the top ok? Many 300 feet on ebay, very few 387s.

I use the 300's and they work perfect, plus, I can still get in the garage with the feet and load bars on.
