Anyone else getting this? Thread opens to the same place (~5 posts back from the end of the thread) for about a week, even when there are new posts; then eventually one day jumps to a further spot, but then sticks with that one. Almost never goes to the actual first post I haven't seen yet.

It has to do with photos. When the photos open they push everything down.
Correct. Threads with a lot of images to load won't accurately hold the "unread" position.

Might be related, I have to click and reload threads four or five times before I can read current posts.
Try clearing cookies?
I'm having nothing but issues with Verizon right now...desktop or phone...no option for a "real" connection...might be related

It's more annoying on threads with lots of pics, but it happens to me on every single thread with or without without pics.

This has been happening to me since Jan 2015 (when I first posted it in this thread) on my iPhone, iPad and macbook. I put Chrome on my macbook and it happens there, too. Cleared cookies? Check. No change even the very next time I log on. I'm really amazed that nobody has been commenting on this until now. Other people I know have pretty much stopped using MUD since the app went away and they have had to deal with their phone browsers having this same issue. I'm not arguing about anything here, but the app was a great, simple way to navigate on the phone. I'm really perplexed why this is happening on my laptop/browser and other devices (even tried turning them all off, then using only one). I'll deal with whatever is thrown at me here.
If it's any consolation ( @woody )Mud by FAR has the nicest XenForo interface of any forum I've visited. It also works the best compared to other XenForo forums.
Some (XenForo) forums are a mess (macrumors.com). Navigation within threads is unpredictable and unreliable and they have Nazi moderators that reprimand users for one word posts or comments that are too sarcastic.
I think Mud has the best forum interface out there and that's something of merit in today's Internet.
