I haven't seen one in person but, I kinda like the idea. I would think that you would need to plumb a air tank into it to make it useful.

Ordered & paid for one going-on 60 days ago....yet to receive it tho...

s*** man.....that sux, is it the seller thats taking so long or is it back ordered or somthing cause its new? bigred i would be looken at plumbing a extra air tank into it as well, warn sells some but im sure that an air tank could be had for way cheaper than what their looking to get for them (dont actually know what the warn tanks cost though)

I do like Warn's after cooler to reduce the outlet air temp before exiting the Powerplant. This is why you can use the standard coiled up Urethane air hose and not melt it.

the notion of putting a huge obstacle in the air flow in front of the radiator boggles the mind....

There were a couple of other threads here a couple months back...

My favorite synopsis, "a solution in search of a problem"

I'm a fan of keeping seperate systems, just that, seperate. If you winch fails your air fails too... vice versa. Increased wear and tear on the motor.

Do a search for the other threads, there were some great comments...

im $avin for one.

I agree with Kurt, except when it comes to cell phones/mp3 players/digital camera's. I'm carrying so much junk that the next phone I buy, will do it all:)

That I can agree with... but with the exception of the phone, the others are all items of luxury... not really a "livesaver" per say. A winch and an air souce and mean getting off a trail, or spending a night or more in a remote region. I beleive in redundancy when building/outfitting a rig.

I could details situations where this is more important then the next... but you see where I'm going... ;)

Received the winch on Friday, but haven't had time to mess with it... the plan is to mount it on the new style ARB bull bar for the 40s, that accept 8274 style, and this one seems to mount like the 9000 warn... gonna have to do some fabbn....
