Take a look at his 2F ETI thread, there is some info in there. Also look at his "Rescue Me" thread to understand the shipping situation. Both in the 40-55 section.

looks like the guy knows what he's doing, but I doubt it's worth the hassle to import it. Probably a giant mess when I'd go to pick it up.

If I wasn't saving for a big ring, I'd buy it in a heartbeat... Dude knows his stuff. Make sure you have no emissions inspection where you are if you plan on putting it on the road though. I doubt it would pass.

x2 on the hard miles, but if I needed an engine, I'd rather take my chances on that one than blindly buying another used engine (which would almost certainly have over 100K miles). Now, if I wanted to be sure to get another 250K, I would just rebuild mine - But that will cost a lot more than $1000.

I'd love to hear more about his rebuild.

i would buy it in a heatbeat, if i wasnt up to my elbows in a V8 60 series, my 55 would be great with this 2F. If matt doent sell it to the US, I might still

For a $100 I'll pull the head take pics and put it back together:D

Plus the price of a Genuine Toyota gasket.

Fuel pump is less than 2 years old as is the water pump.

I cleaned the custom pacemaker extractors which are included last night, ceramic coated too.

Those are gonna be some HARD miles on that mill judging from his video.:wrench:

It's had some hard driving yes but not once in the clips do you see me with my foot on the floor pointlessly.

This engine/truck is my daily driver too and from work as well as comp, it has to be reliable at both and has been perfectly so for the last 4 years.

What do you guys think of this? He's offering it at $1000 now, and I'm close enough to go pick it up. Any ideas on how he got it to put out 350+ ft lbs of torque? Would this be an engine that won't last long most likely? Any forseeable problems dropping it into my 86?

Torque at the wheels depends on gearing and tire size. So don't read too much into the Dyno. But this is no slouch of a 2F either.

You may however need to up grade to a pair of Bobby Longs if you have a front locker as this 2F will eat Birf's
