I have an opportunity to buy 4 LC 18" wheels from a 2016 LC for $500 locally. I actually don't have a 200 Series as yet, but I plan to buy an LX570 in the next year or two, and I'd like to run 34's on it. I'm thinking the LC wheels will be a good option to run a 275/75 18 tire. I don't like the idea of running 20 or 21 inch rims on an off-road vehicle. I also prefer factory rims for the low attention factor, durability and quality. The wheels have a little rash on the outside face from transit, they are not in perfect condition. Lug nuts are included in the price.

I'm thinking that with more people buying the LX as a trail vehicle, LC wheels may go scarce and get more expensive. Similar to how other Toyota rims have increased in price (Tundra BBS and Tundra Rock Warrior come to mind). Thoughts?

Good move, but how not perfect are they? Do they include the center hubcaps? If they are just marked from shipping and the caps are included, that’s sort of an ok price. I’ve seen them less in the Mud classifieds.

Yes, it drops right in.

Generally, you can find these all day long. Including Tundra and Sequoia wheels that are the same overall dimensions. I wouldn't bother getting the set that far ahead of having the car.

There are other opportunities too including many other tire sizes. I personally dislike narrows, seen too many of them come off the bead running lower pressures off-road.

Agree with the above. Also, $500 is not a screaming deal for OEM LC wheels, especially for an incomplete set of 4. You'll need/want 5 wheels, which is how many they come with. I suspect they will become less readily available as time moves on since no one is buying new LCs anymore, but still, sets of them come up on the classifieds pretty regularly.

Okay, thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Tundra 18" wheels also drop right in. And Sequoia. There is no shortage of OEM aluminum 18" wheels at 5x150 and 56 or 60mm offset.

The problem you will have is that 34" tires really want an offset around 45mm. And the only OEM rims around that are the Rock Warriors, which are 17", and 50mm. Also they are getting pretty rare at this stage.

And what is the offset on the 2016 LC rims, if you know? Thanks.

I recently bought a 2014 LX and have bought 8 2016+ LC wheels off Craigslist/Marketplace. I wanted the 2016+ and didn't notice an abundance of availability, so if you want to swap out your wheels right when you do find a vehicle, you may want to jump on them now. I paid $325 and $400 for each set.

Another thing to keep in mind are the TPMS sensors. I just went to the Lexus dealership today to get them reprogrammed, and the LC ones won't work on the Lexus. New sensors are $350 each plus install. So keep the existing ones, I figured Toyota would work, but I guess not.

wow. that's a new record! I don't know what OEM sensors go for, but Autel replacements run around $30 each. I don't recall the OEMs ever being more that $50-$70 each, but admit to not following that price closely as I went to Autel many years ago.

Have you tried the Denso TPMS sensors? part number 550-0103 is compatible and I have used 10 of these for my two different tire/wheel set ups. Work perfect, no issues over 3 years of use. Should get 10 plus out them. They are OEM and compatible and under $35 a sensor.

You can get 5 of these installed for less then what that dealership is charging for one.

👍🏼 Always a good move for off-road, especially when aired down. Here are my 17” Rock Warriors doing something that would likely be pinch-cut tires on 20-21 wheels… (and yes, they’ll bolt right on).

Whats a good tire size for the LC wheels on a 2016 +LX with no mods?

275/65/18?
285/65/18?

Thanks again for all the replies. Given that this set only includes 4 rims and they all have rash on them, I am going to pass.

I hope you didn’t pay that. I think OEM sensors in Lexus packaging are $100 MSRP and 25% less at the many discount Lexus dealers. Your issue wasn’t Toyota sensor or not as much as going to a 2016+ sensor. They changed the system at some point. And as noted above, those are just repackaged Denso Sensors (made by another company of course). Maybe when you said “each” above you meant each set of wheels, that would make more sense.

There are a few transitions in TPMS compatibility by year, so be careful just ordering the part numbers above. But yes Lexus just uses Toyota sensors, and even those are all made by Pacific Industries and are available reboxed by Denso. Denso’s application chart is not correct also!

I’d be wary of Amazon as the source though. Users here have reported getting counterfeits from the big A

I have 2020 lc wheels on a 2013 Lexus lx 570 with Michelins defender ltx 285/60. I purchased the denso tpms from Amazon. Tires were from discount tire. They installed tpms for free. They price matched Costco. Costco would not install my Tpms. Since they were not purchased from them. I paid five hundred for five lc wheels for eBay.

For sure. Good to use caution with the big A. When I used them I made sure to buy from Denso who sells direct through Amazon as the merchant . Also Summit Racing is another good trustworthy source and has them for a similar price.

No way, they said $195 just for the diagnosis. The guy said some lady was in recently and paid $1600 to have her sensors replaced. I tried to relink them with Carista but no luck. It’s probably the 2016+ issue.
