Thoughts on 100 series with 225k.. Local Toyota asking 9k cosmetically rough but seems mechanically good

So I recently sold my 2020 TRD Taco as I really didn't need a new vehicle or the insurance/payments. Growing up I've had 4Runners and my dad has a LX450 he bought originally which is still going strong.
I have a soft spot for LC and found this one locally. Outside is rough in the sense paint dull, scratches, pinstripe gone. But no signs of hail, rust and no accidents reported.

I was looking at it in the evening and couldn't really see much on the under side in regards to rust. I'll be heading there in the am to drive and see under it. Its a 2 owner vehicle and seems to have a long service record with most of the part replacements recently.. timing, water pump, alternator, struts stuff like that.

They're asking 9k and some change at my local Toyota. When I was there multiple people were already looking at it and quick online check has none in the area without jumping massively in price for a newer model. Thoughts? Anything I should look for that stands out right away? I kind of get the feeling this isn't gonna sit around long at Toyota.

What color is it? the white 100's have a single stage paint with the clear mixed into the paint that you could cut and polish for eternity and it will always bring back the shine.

What year LC?

who cares about the paint, IF the undercarriage is in good shape and it has a strong maintenance history don't let the miles worry you. I picked up a clean undercarriage 215k miles southern truck for $ 9500 about a yr ago. See if it has had recent timing belt, water pump service as that can be expensive to complete. Good luck

Considering this was posted 6 hours ago…I would venture that this had been sold already, especially if listed on national sites.

[edit] I just checked a very popular local site to see what the local market was doing. At least in my area the supply seems to be a bit higher than it was a few weeks/months ago for both 80s and 100s. Maybe the reality of the cost of ownership is starting to kick in and the fad buys are coming back available?

One could also say that if its still available after a day then chances are people with a sharp eye are finding surprises and passing.

Its still there I went and looked its very rough. Toyota was actually pretty forward and said it had a massive RO open for a ton of work about 3k worth they would recooment. CV/Axel stuff among a list. I would of considered if the exterior/interior were better but after looking it was very rough.

I did find another locally a 2006 with 90k miles for 25K went there. Its immaculate literally looks brand new inside/out. I got under it and it literally was rust. I could break it in my hands. Dealer said car was from east coast. I never have seen that much rust.. granted I'm not a mechanic but being able to crack pieces away like a cracker scared me. Sad too cause I'd of got it immediately it was literally perfect otherwise.
