Do your homework on Southern states rigs. A lot of them are bought from auction up north. Check service history, and carfax.
That 06 looks crusty but hard to tell how terminal it is from pictures. It might be worth a drive to look-poke around- remove the under cover and inspect. If you can negotiate that truck down to a reasonable price- (13-14k) it might be worth mitigating the crust if it's structurally sound.

Honestly, the more I look at the pictures and the Carfax, it seems more of a restore project. I would need to get it down to even 11 or 12k to be worth it. Likely not going to happen at a dealership.

Oh, and right on about the southern trucks. I've seen a ton that are "imported" from the crusty north down south.
