Looks eerily similar to the one I had Nick (2000uzj) check out for me in ATL a month or so ago. "Spotless" well other than the rust spot that was the whole underbody, tailgate & roof...

Having grown up in Chicago that looks like home

lol....spotless

There's the jewel! What were the guy's words for it? "A little surface rust" or something like that... :grinpimp:

OP just hold out and the right one will come along. The one I ended up with is a much better fit and was from a mud member who could tell me about the mods and service in detail. Take your time and watch the classifieds like a hawk...

No need to put that on the lift to eliminate it as a candidate.

Find a truck from dry country and life is far, far better.

The one Nick posted up was for sale in ATL but had lived life in NJ. Ended up working out for me that both of mine are originally TX trucks with clean belly's. Having a mud member check out a truck saved me 8 hrs of wasted road time! (and Nick got a really good laugh out of it! )

Actually AZ and NV are the best places to find rust free.

My born and raised in Vegas 12 year old BMW X5 literally looked brand new underneath (and on the outside/inside) when I traded it in last year. AZ and NV are definitely the most rust free states IMO. You do run into issues with rubber cracking and aging a little quicker with the arid hot conditions but I'll take that over rust any day!

Funny - where I come from 'rust free' refers to the body, not the bits underneath. Must be nice to live somewhere where this kind of rust is not the norm. Of course, then you would miss out on all the beauties of the north country.

BTW - this rust in irrelevant other than making working underneath a little more difficult. My 98 100 has lived outside its whole life in Alaska, Minnesota, and now Ohio. 275,000 miles and going strong.
