Sorry for the grade school question, but I need to figure this out tonight before I have to drive some miles to pick up the shocks and Ford towers from a friend for my FJ40. Lots of time and gas involved just to see if they might fit so I could use a hand. They are 12"s shocks.

Right now my compressed length is 15 and the extended is 25 ( I actually probably get around 26 to 27 drop on a real world trail). The replacement shocks are a 17.95 compressed and 29.75 extended. Gaining between 3 and 4 inches with Ford towers depending on how I mount them, that would mean that my new compressed length will be 18 and 28. This should work for me as long as I extend the bumpstops a hair to keep it just below compressing 18"s.

Correct?
