Regrettably :frown: I am thinning the herd to fund other projects. I am located in Southern Utah (Kanab).See link for photos.http://www.xpressweb.com/~kblomquist/cruisers

I am selling a 1973 fj40 w/ only 12K original miles. It was rolled
(light) about 15 years ago. PO rattled canned it red after roll over (Beige dune was the original color). It is very original and runs perfect. No
rust...but body is dented. $3700.00

WORK DONE ON THE FJ40 IN THE LAST 1000 MILES:

CARB REBUILT
NEW WHEEL CYLINDERS ALL AROUND
NEW MASTER CYLINDER
NEW CLUTCH CYLINDER
NEW HEADER INSTALLED/BRAIDED OIL LINES FOR NEW LOCATION OF OIL FILTER
NEW CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, THROW OUT BEARING & PILOT BEARING
NEW PLUGS & POINTS
RADIATOR HOT TANKED
I HAVE A NEW/USED SOFT TOP THAT WILL BE INSTALLED WHEN PURCHASED.

Also, 1978 FJ55 w/ 98K. Light rust (las vegas owned) a/c blows ice cold. 100% stock. Not many around in this shape $4200.00. I just drove it 700 miles w/o any problems.

Both run excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to go cross country in either (ear plugs or ipod needed for the 40);). Neither burn or use oil. Both mark their territory by leaking a small amount from the t/c.

Is the a/c evaporator built in under the dash as in totally factory?? None of the pics show it:frown:! Do you have a pic of that section of the dash:)?

Not trying to be difficult but factory a/c on a pig is rare, to say the least and I would like to see it:D.

I will attach photo of the dash tonight. It sure looks factory (somebody mentioned it may be dealer installed?). You be the expert and let me know.

I don't think it's "factory". The evaporator (the unit under the dash) looks alot like one you can buy from ACKits.com. Very possible that it was dealer installed. All of the FAN, DEF, FRESH, VENT...ect. switches are deffinately factory but as you can see the switch on the evaporator looks totaly different. Not that I am a know-it-all when it comes to 55's but I have had almost every yr of the 55 and have seen alot with a/c but none of them ever had true factory air. As you can see from looking at the dash, it would have to totally be redesigned to accommodate the vents and evaporator. I maybe wrong but I don't think there is such an animal as "factory air"(please correct me if I'm wrong).

Either way, factory, dealer or after market installed, it doesn't matter! The awesome thing is that YOU HAVE A/C ON A PIG!

I guess I was just hoping to see something I had never seen before!

BTW GREAT looking pig!!! If it was built I would buy it 4sure!!!

Thanks for the compliments.:) I really am going to regret selling it. :crybaby:BTW I am 90% sure I have it sold.

Someone has got to be interested in the FJ40 I have listed w/ less than 12,000 original miles.
