so...i am pretty sure, 90%, that it's time to sell the LV. Between the
FJ46 (wheeler), FZJ80 (roadtrip, wagon wheeler), Suby (daily) and the
V8J60 (uh?.. also soon to be for sale?) I have no use for the FJ45LV.

But... I'm not sure what I should ask for it.

There are stock LV's that are selling for
$6000-$7000 and more.

what is has:

drivetrain:
really strong small block
tight SM420
quiet three speed transfer case
SOA on FJ60 axles
bilstein shocks
ARB rear locker with mechancial switch
whole truck rewired with Painless wiring harness
saginaw power steering
5 core radiator
rock lights
FJ60 sway bar with disconnects

Interior:
newer toyota bucket seats
stock rear bench
3 point seat belts
tuffy center console
FJ60 tilt colmun/wheel (headlights/wipers wired off column... incoluding intermittant wiper delay)
nice interior door panels
poly bedliner (Durabak)
new headliner
CD player, amp, 4 6x9 speakers

Exterior:
primer

Pluses:
drive's amazingly nice, handles well, powerful
comfortable to drive
crawls well, walked Rubicon

Minuses:
tailgate and quarters mashed in (might have a new tailgate for it)
rockers/sliders not quite finished
needs paint

so... what do you guys think? 9K? 12K? 15K? (probably not) I keep thinking I'll finish up the body work and paint it before selling... but my new business is taking my spare time... as is my other three cruisers... and it mostly just sits there.

Nice looking truck! I have too many of them already, but that is a time saver for someone whe wants turnkey plus a little work

Thanks... the best part about this truck is how damn nice it drives. I'm really picky about how a truck should handle on the street (since I have to drive 500+ miles to Rubicon)... and this thing handles sooo nice; wish I could get my other SOA'd rig to handle as well.

I'm still not sure what to ask. Since I'm selling it to fund my business... I'm going to try to get a pretty high price... but then again, considering the time and parts that are already in this truck... and how nice it drives... and what a beater/stock one goes for... I don't think asking 12K will be totally absurd. Maybe on the high side... but those $7000 stockers are selling...

Not more than $6k in my book. I'd rather have one stock.

I don't want to anger you, but I think you will have a lot of trouble selling for 10-12. Although it is clear that you have put a ton of time and money into the truck, I think that the market for these trucks leans to stock, or very close to it. Although there are people out there that want a supr-hard core LV, Most of the people I have talked with are looking for mostly stock, to restore, not to build a hard core trail truck.

Although, that being said, if you have the time to wait for the right buyer, it will sell. That is the other tough part about these trucks. You have to have somone that wants it & has the ability to pay cash. No one gets loans on these. HTH
