I'm charging up the camera batteries as we speak. I figure even a month away can never have too much charge on the camera battery for an event like this.

with a healthy 1HZ ( and turbo on the plans ) you only need 4.11 and welcome 35" .. unless you are expecting rock crawling or sometthing else ..

Tappage,
No rock crawling, just DD and weekend warrior wheeling runs with my local club. I have 4.11 now. I'm gonna try the new engine with those for a couple of months and then with the 3.73 and then decide which works better with the 33's i'm running now or the 35s I'll get in June when the rainy season returns.

also, HP and torque figures do not reveal the true driving experience. the 1HZ NA and the 13BT share almost identical figures but are night and day driving difference. the 13BT rocks, the 1HZ NA is a stepped on slug. turbo the 1HZ and it comes a live.

You need to try a 1HZ with a fresh pump and like new compression. The 1HZ in my 73 has plenty of poke,it can easily keep up with traffic and on the highway probably hit 140(Ive backed off at 130)
Which is why I have never seriously considered forced induction

I think a lot 1HZ have pump pressure problems but they are never fixed until the pump is almost dead .

nah, i have driven a few 1HZ with under 50,000 km and they are dogs compared to a gasser...
