Toyota dealership rebuilt the head in my FJ55 when a PPP or maybe PPPPO owned the Pig. They couldn't get a valve seal to seat right so they "peened" the head to get the seal to set. (I think I have that right). Head is sitting on my bench right now and won't be used again.

Same motor at same time crank keyway got wallowed out = new 2F time.

I was watching myth busters and sugar in the gas tank turned out to be a myth. Overheating has done it for me.

They also proved that you cannot light a fire by rubbing two sticks together.

OVer revs if you are not balanced..

Not using enough oil. I figured out that I could run a 2F on about 3.5 quarts for a little while...

Had a bad camshaft almost get another 2F but blew a head gasket first. One cylinder would heat up more than the rest and burnt the gasket out on that cylinder. Only by dumb luck did I find the bad cam too. On the same motor I also found one of the PO's had painted the INSIDE of the oil pan. About half the paint had pealed and was caught on the oil pump pickup. How that motor had good oil pressure I'll never know (aftermarket guage read 60 psi while cruising). Once all that was sorted out I reinstalled the motor and it's run great since.
