The Toyota Genuine Parts Supply Chain Back Order Parts Problem is here now ....

My T-TEN College classmate works in Plano Texas , now USA headquarters , he was told if he discusses the Global Toyota Supply Chain and parts back order issues , he will lose his Job flat out ....

internal company memo to all there

i have over 100+ different both unique and previously Common part#'s on Back Order status for over 30 days now :

- late Model 85330-60011 fj40 double coolant and washer jars combo set up

- first and 2nd generation RED rear side markers lamps , FJ40 all 4 part numbers LH and RH

- early first generation flush mount single back up lamps FJ40

- ALL 3 common starter hardware part numbers : lock / spring washers , stud course fine combo , hex nut

- i have 7 different starter motor part numbers as well 30+ days now 28100- including mostly land cruiser ones too

- over 200+ NipponDenso / DENSO special order Japan Alternator Pulleys

- washer bottle mounting brackets / coolant bottle mounting brackets 16611- part numbers

just name some folks are familiar with

is anyone experiencing same or similar USA dealer sourced parts back order status problems ?

- in many cases DEALER Daily shows good stock on hand at the ONTARIO CA. and Boston PDC's aslo same time ?

- parts are just NOT moving and nobody has a explanation at TOYOTA ?

sad ........

I order from my local dealership 4-6 times a week consistently and the only one I had trouble with was a pair of 4runner front rotors which took about 3 weeks. Everything else I’m getting either next day or 2-3 days because it has to come from another depot

see ,

what i have concluded is ALL the japan land cruiser parts are being off loaded from the container ships and initially stored at the ONTARIO warehouse PDC

some get stocked in Boston as well for east coast use , but no where near the ONTARIO place .........

Onur made an open statement on the forum about two years regarding future parts availability. Because it didn’t happen right away, some concluded it was a ‘chicken little/sky is falling’ prediction.

Others quietly beefed up their inventory.😉

I would like to hope that when the shipping issues finally settle down, the shakeout won’t be as bad as what you’re currently experiencing Matt. But the Boy Scout motto hasn’t changed: hope for the best; prepare for the worst.😔

i have indeed noticed More and More TOYOTA Genuine Remanufactured Parts NO longer say made in the USA on them ?

many are back to MADE IN JAPAN

ALL External / remote mount firewall and fender locations VOLTAGE Regulators are now Back to being sourced in JAPAN including the 27700-38100-84 FJ60 / FJ40 8/80-9/87 Piggy Back square one too ............

i Stopped offering TOYOTA Genuine Remanufactured Front Bake Calipers because of shotty work , missing parts like main SANDWICH bolts with the figure 8 logo on them ?

i was told BENDIX was the USA Re-Man chain doing them for TOYOTA Motor sales USA ?
