My 92 is nicer and more confortable. It's overall a better vehicle. But that's because I've taken pretty good care of her over the years. The 93 is a little peppier and fun but she looks like s*** and smells funny.

My 92 is my wife. The 93 is the chick in Mexico you bang after an eight ball and half a bottle of tequila. It's fun because it's different. But you gotta take a shower after riding her.
Just took a cold shower! Damn! I wonder how you would write after driving a pumped dodge cummins that dusts mustangs?
I never drove a 3fe but their reliability is unquestionable.
You definitely need to pack up your rig and bring your boy out to CA so we can show you what a rock is.

The 93 has been getting most of the attention lately because she needs a lot of attention.

My daughter has been driving my 92 and she LOVES it.

I noticed that the 93 has a much lower rear ended than the 92. She squats a bit. I'm guessing it's the shocks that are on it. And the s***ty tires. Both of which are getting replaced as soon as I find time. I just can't decide which tires to go with. I think Cooper SST (I believe that's what they are). Or the GY Duratracs.

I haven't decided on the springs and shocks yet. Part of me thinks 2.5" OME lift. Other part of me thinks stock. Probably stock since I'm planning on running 33s. But that could change. I could run 35s and a 2.5" lift.

Hell, I don't know.

850j and 863 with L shock is a great lift. Slee castor plates compliment the J's well. 35's look perfect.

I've owned plenty of go fast vehicles. Speed has never been my thing.

Cummins Engine Company was a client of mine when I was a roof consultant. I drove a 03 Dodge Cummins that was modded by engineers from Cummins in Columbus, IN. They took it for two weeks and handed it back to me at 550hp and a s*** ton of torque. They changed injectors and stuff. I don't remember what all they did. But what they did was designed for 600+hp but they weren't confident the transmission could handle it over a prolonged period.

It was fun to romp on it once in a while but not my cup of tea.

Forgot to update: Decided to just rattle can the rack. There is some plastic in the slides for the solar panel slide out. That can't go in the oven for powder. No biggie. They sandblasted it and it's waiting for me to pick up. I'm actually glad about this because I wasn't totally sold on it being black forever.

Instant bucket loads of torque is just my cup of tea.

Did your wife approve this post?

Unlike some of you, I don't have to run everything by my wife. I want another Land Cruiser, I buy it. End of discussion. And she's happy about it! :flipoff2:

For the record, she doesn't have to run anything by me either. And I'd be happy for her too.

1/2 a win for mankind

Ordered up the 80 quart version of this. For $300 it is worth the gamble to me.

Also ordered this setup from Joey. Looking forward to having cold water all day while I drive around this summer. Will be handy at baseball tournaments too. Oh, and of course when wheeling and camping.

I just drove my 92 for the first time in a week. Holy s***. It is so much more comfortable to drive than the 93. The power seats in the 93 absolutely suck. I'm glad I have a spare set of 92 manual cloth seats to put in it. The power leather seats are absolute crap. I didn't think there would be that big of a difference but you sit a lot higher in the power seats. And they are stiff on the sides.

This just moved up the priority list. I need to pick a cloth color and tell @FloridaFJ80 so I can get this done.

Going to take the cloth seat frames and have them sandblasted and powder coated to clean them up.

You keep raggin' on that '93, and something bad is going to happen.

Trucks - particularly if kept as part of a fleet - have a way of knowing when they're being, ahem, 'disrespected', and they will get back at you.

She isn't being disrespected. The 93 is a great truck. But damn, the paint is s*** (getting repainted) and the leather power seats are garbage! When I'm done with her she will be happy.

Hell, she's getting all the love right now. I drove my 92 so she wouldn't feel neglected!

... the paint is s*** (getting repainted) and the leather power seats are garbage! ...

You don't understand how this works.

Note the partial quote above - that's the part that'll get you into trouble, no matter how much positive stuff you make up to balance it out... :)

Don't get yourself deeper into the hole than you already are.

P.S. I speak from experience. We keep a fleet of 'wheeling trucks. One of them decides to throw an 'intermittent electrical' because of a perceived injustice, or because of a preferential treatment of their fellow trucks - good luck....

Yeah, I know. But I've owned 17 Land Cruisers besides my 92. They come and go. She will be with me forever. She has to know that she will always be "the one" for me.

Are you sure 'she' is indeed a female?
