Got my lockers to work! Installed the Center Diff Switch on the center diff. $18. Pushed the CDL switch on the dash. Turned the magic button and got rear lockers. Front wouldn't lock. Tried today in the rain and mud and voila! TRIPLE LOCKED! Woohoo!

For how much you paid for this triple locked rig, it's plain ridiculous!

Even in the mountains of Nevada where ambient temps were 78-80* it wouldn't climb higher. The radiator is brand new. Don't know if I should be alarmed that the engine is never getting warmer but it sits right at 170 most of the time. Today it hit 176 when I idled for a while.
Is there no t-stat in it? I'm thinking not.

Agreed. She runs ridiculously well. You'd never know it has 315,500 miles on it. Well, until you take the seat covers off. Haha.

I really can't argue. $2800 for a rust free, triple locked, 80 that runs like a top.

My budget is $9k for everything to be said and done. Try finding a solid axle, triple locked, armored, tired up, fresh interior, fresh paint, go anywhere vehicle for $9k.

I got it up to 184 the other day.

Joey and I used the IR gun on it to see when the t stat opened. Wanted to make sure we got all of the coolant out when we flushed it.

I'll keep an eye on it when the temp warms up. I am going to replace the t stat and fan clutch anyway. Get the blue fan clutch mod thingy from @NLXTACY.

The rack will come off tomorrow to get sandblasted so I can paint it. The weather did a number on it on the way home. Glad I took the sliders off and brought them home inside the truck.

Are those the AVEC hid lights? If so, can't wait to see their output and what you think of them. I'm currently running ipf on my arb that i converted to hid and they are crazy bright. Now, I'm finally looking to get some for my inti rack and was going to get some Hellas and convert to hid. Seeing the price on those AVECs might be worth the gamble. I'll wait for your impressions.

Yes they are the Avec HID. I'll let you know this weekend, hopefully. They are crazy cheap so it was worth the risk.

damn you made it home in one piece huh?!!

She purred like a kitten all the way home and still is. She doesn't run like a rig with 315k on the clock.

Going to try to find time to paint the hood today and clay bar and buff the tops of the fenders. See if I can get it to look decent.

Didn't get the rack dropped off to powder coat yesterday. I've been insanely busy. I'm going to temporarily hook up the lights today to get an idea how bright they are. Noticed moisture in one of them so I inniated a return on Amazon.

Finally dropped off the rack for sandblast and powder! Damn that thing is a beast! Much easier to take off with a forklift!

When mine was done I gave them the mounts separately to ensure they did each piece individually and didn't just short cut it. Might be worth mentioning. I've seen dumber things happen. "That's the way you gave it to us!"

I took the mounts off after the pic was taken.

Ok, question for the 1FZ-FE crowd.

1993, 315k.

Upon startup I get the roar and high revs but it seems REALLY high. Like 1800-2000 RPM with the heat/AC running. If I kill the heat/AC then it dips down to 1400-1600. Is this "normal". I had not noticed this until yesterday.

Otherwise she idles right around 700-800 just fine.

Someone else started a thread with these symptoms recently. If I find it I'll let you know.

This happened to me when I installed a K & N air filter in my '95 LC (1FZ-FE), which made me think there was such an improvement in intake flow that the FI ECU was struggling to compensate. It settled soon enough. But I wonder if you may have a sensor issue that's intermittent and worse when it's cold?

Damn! $2800? I paid $4k for the triple locked 93 white rhino out of High desert Oregon. These trucks are amazing! She has 268 on the clock and uses zero oil!
Be honest, what's you prefered DD now?

My 92 is nicer and more confortable. It's overall a better vehicle. But that's because I've taken pretty good care of her over the years. The 93 is a little peppier and fun but she looks like s*** and smells funny.

My 92 is my wife. The 93 is the chick in Mexico you bang after an eight ball and half a bottle of tequila. It's fun because it's different. But you gotta take a shower after riding her.
