I guess it is time for me to start a thread to document what I am doing. This is by no means going to be a crazy build. I just want to remind myself of the procedures, parts numbers and links so I can reference my own stuff later. I am not a mechanic....at all. So if I can do something then I would say anyone can.

I was going to call it Green Lantern, but my daughter calls it the Sparkly Car.

Below are pics the day I brought it home in August 2016.

199k, in dash DVD/gps, leather interior, moonroof, Kenwood speakers up front, new tires.

The pic with the canoe was the next weekend.

Plastic dip on the grill and flares. I probably should have used monstaliner but I can do that later.

I also sanded the wheels down and painted them with wheel paint. They turned out pretty good.

My DS from door has an area that needs to be fixed....rusted through and no one ever tried to slow it down. I got some Toyota paint and covered it up for now...I found a door and just going to replace it whenever I can get to Charlotte.

The Pioneer head unit was not bypassed where you can watch dvds while driving....honestly I don't care about that BUT you have to have it bypassed in order to change your route while driving....so I bypassed it. I just had to move a wire on the harness from one pin to another. Now I can watch Alice in Wonderland while on the go.

My windows were going kind of slow so I took the switch apart....all of the wings fell out and I cussed a lot. Finally got it back in and cleaned the tracks. Sprayed silicone in the tracks and let it sit for a bit. They are a little faster now.

I bought some extra dome lights and installed them in the tailgate. These are very bright and at night make a good place to huddle around. I tapped them off the rear light so they turn on when the rear doors are open or when the rear hatch is open.

First pics are the old bulbs and others are LEDs.
