Really nice trucks! I find it weird that you've got a 40th Ann Edition with the individual headlights, I thought those came on the base models? Did you guys get stuff like the center console fridges in Australia?

NICE!

I hate to think what that would have cost tho, but I'm sure you would have got a good price for your old one. going to sub to this thread.

Sweeeet!!! I have a recurring day dream where I ship my 80 to Aus and drive and drive and .........

Only the VX limited and Sahara's got the one piece headlights and centre console fridges in Aus.

God, I don't know you, but I think I already hate you. ;)

Great score on that rig. Has the BEB been done, or was that worked out by 97?

Unfortunately, diesel rigs are not US spec. What ones we can get are older and waaay overpriced, imo.

Hate the game not the player.;)
BEB have been done i think i might have to go over the service history again just to make sure. But i think it was sorted out by 97. Hopefully someone in the know will jump in and confirm it.

NICE!

Got an insurance payout on the old one through dodgy workmanship on the engine rebuild and got to keep alot of parts off the old rig, including turbo, intercooler, suspension etc. So with the payout i an only out pocket $5k.

Uhf mounted with the box mounted up under the dash above the glove box. Not sure if im completely happy with the handset mounted there as the cord rub against my leg all the time

So, what does the 40th Anniversary Edition get you down under? It's obviously equipped differently than they were in North America.

From what i have worked out so far. Factory cruise control. Nicer interior.

I hate you, and hope you understand.

Sincerely,
A guy from USA

What, no love for a fellow 80 enthusiest from down under???;)

Haha, yes, plus a little jealousy. Enjoy!

And here she is parked at work next to an unmolested 93 petty that only has 150000kms.
And no that stain is not from my car.

A little Update. The stereo decide to stop working so i have installed a joying unit. Looks good FM reception isnt the best. Still working out all the features. Just need to adjust the mounting a little. need to try and angle it up a little bit and move it down about 3mm so i can use the cup holder.

The Waeco cooler centre console is done too. Just need to get a photo of it.
