Decided to finally update. After my previously rocky ride with my 80, I pulled the whole motor out and swapped it with another one that had no issues. Transferred all the new aux stuff over from the other issues I had in the past. Put a winch in the bumper. Radio, newer seats, rack. Took the running boards off and am close to getting sliders. I live close to white knuckle and will most likely be getting those. So far it's been over 3k miles without issue. No leaks, no problems. Been on several camping trips and off road trips with my family and boys and the thing runs great. Just needed the old heart transplant. Plus I have a fully assembled brand new head in case I need it in the future.

Great looking 80 - it has the perfect stance!
So which of Slee's lift kit did you go with? The 4" or the 6"? And what size tires are those? 315/75/16?
Is that Slee's rear bumper as well? Looks like a highly capable rig - enjoy!

I went with slee's 4" kit. Fabulous lift. Dc fab makes the bumper. Really took the harshness out of the rear end as the springs are set up for the weight of a bumper in mind. And yes, 315 duratracs. I really wanted the mtr's, and still do. They weren't available when I lifted and I got these. Fine tires, just like the muds better. Almost done though, sliders are the only major thing I got left. The rest is butter.

Few more things addressed so far.

Changed my blue hub for my black hub fan clutch. So far so good as the temps are down about 10-15 degrees consistently. Gonna split my blue hub to get the few drops of fluid they put in there and fill it with the good stuff.

Had a leaky transmission cooler hose that I swapped along with 3 others since my front end was completely blown apart anyway. Not to mention I had to cut the other lines off to make install easier, so they all got replaced.

Ordered sliders from white knuckle. They came in 2 weeks early and I drove up to apple valley to meet John and pick them up. Awesome guy, great customer service, good price, great turn around time. Mounted them today.

Now it's just little crap. Would like to recover front seats with Lseat leather so gonna look for some swatches I can compare to my rear seats, would like an awning. And I would like to take it out and bash it against some rocks.

Installed @LandCruiserPhil swaybar disconnects. Now I can finally maybe achieve the axle articulation equal to my wife's stock rubicon. :meh:
