Damm! Mine, with rack, won't clear by roughly 8"!
I was really worried mine wasn't gonna fit. Btw I called slee. There are 80 and 100 series sleeves included in the control arm kit. Miraculously, I grabbed all of them meant for the 100, fitted them, then pounded them out because the bolts wouldn't fit. I thought they were for earlier 80s. I was wrong. So now in a few days I get to take the control arms back off and sleeve them. Live and learn.

Drive it around and let it settle. Make sure you re-torque your radius arm bolts, as I have read about a few guys with "popping" sounds at random times that turned out to be the bolts not tight enough. Tighten them with the truck on the ground and weight on it.
I still have some stuff to do so while I'm in there I'm gonna check all my previous work and tighten up everything. Took a day and a half of sweating my butt off in the garage so what's a few more hours?

Got everything on and tight this morning. Drives well, drove well enough to this place for its alignment.

Very, very happy it's finally all done. Now my next major purchase has to be a rear bumper with swing outs because the rear end looks ridiculous.

Lookin' GREAT!

Congratulations on getting all the goodies on! Now you can enjoy it for a while!

I will definitely be doing that as my mod fund has disappeared for a bit. And my wife's patience with me in the garage all day I think. I'm starting to get "the look" when I get home from work in the morning.

That's a great looking 80, thanks for the post about the Jegs oil vapor kit, I need to add that to mine

What was the proposed degree offset of the plates?
How does it drive?
What will you do to get it closer to +3 or +4 if relevant?

Drives great, no wandering, no darting, no vibes. Plates plus dc drive shaft did the trick. Adjustable uppers in the rear and I am completely vibration free. Not gonna worry about it unless I mysteriously start grenading u-joints, but I would be willing to bet I'm ok with it the way it is from slee. That's why I got his kit.

Took the 80 up to big bear and went through 3N17. Not a super technical trail but good enough to keep things interesting, exercise the 4wd and the lockers and let the kids spread their wings.

Made it there and back with no problems. Had some grrr'ing on decel going home that was not there before my trip so I'm thinking my rear arms need to be adjusted or u joints need to be replaced or something. When I get it cleaned up I'll check that out. Just kind of eyeballed the angle. Probably not right.

What size shoes did you go with?

I went with 315 duratracs. Really had my heart set on the mtrs but the wait was gonna be too long. No catastrophic sidewall failures yet though and they did well aired down to about 12 psi. Good so far.

Haven't had to update this in a bit but just got my new art bumper so thought I would share. Spent a few hours installing it. Reason why it went a few hours is because I got my 14 year old to pretty much install the entire thing. Took the old bumper off, all the brackets and hooks. We put the bumper on the frame and he bolted it up. Helped me wire in the turn signals. He learned how to use different ratchets and sockets, impact gun, sort bolts, nuts and washers and learn some safety measures when you use power tools and work around things that can take off your fingers and toes. I got to supervise, take pictures and marvel how much my kid has grown. Great day.

I'll save you the obligatory arb bumper parked in my garage shot. Just look out in your driveway.
