Which trail are you planning on hitting on Saturday? I'm still trying to decide myself which to sign up for.

5 and you know that you should come, you have a mirror that you need to revenge!

The BOD has been cranking away these last few weeks finalizing everything. Shirts, stickers, catered BBQ, Saturday breakfast and coffee, trail maps, raffle prizes, kids events, registrations, insurance, etc, etc. This is going to be a GREAT event and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.

Heck, even our Canadian brothers are coming again. I call dibs on driving behind David, his exhaust smells like French Fries. :)

Special orders have to be made NOW, like cuban ruhm and cigar. ;)

Trail 4 is perfect for your truck, don't let them scare you.

Yup, I'm an idiot, but I think I can make it after all! Having never been there, i need some input on what rides to sign up for. I'll be in a 60, ~2" SUA, 33" MT's, F/R cable lockers but my limiting factor is no sliders/skidplates. I'd like to wheel but I am not looking to beat the crap out of it like I used to especially without armor. How bad is TRAIL4?

Heheh.. Isn't that the same trail we wheeled together last year?? I mean YEAH it was a BLAST! .. but was hoping to maybe wheel some different stuff along the same-ish difficulty level..

I have no lockers.. 34 swampers ..and a winch..

I think there are other trails there that we didn't do. and i think last year we even weren't able to do it al.

I'm running carnage and have never seen it but don't let the fact that you don't have lockers convince you to turn away. Not having lockers just means you need a little more finesse on the skinny and really look over your options on lines. By that I mean look twice before committing.

I've seen open trucks follow me everywhere on some pretty rocky and slick stuff this summer and they did it with skill.

We have all day and half the night to do that trail so no rush for anyone who wants to give it a try.

Rick is right, don't let the lack of lockers scare you.
Trail 5 (Carnage) is doable with out lockers, just takes
a little bit longer!

Dave (or anyone else),

As Dave knows, I pre-ran the Stock-Friendly trails I plan to use on Friday and Saturday this past weekend -- plus some Troy trails that won't be in the Stock-Friendly runs. ;)

Based on the fact there's only enough interest for one Stock-Friendly run on Friday and Saturday I have revised my original plan.

However, the trails in my new/revised plan were included in the original plan. I'm just not using all of them - going to run them in a different order - and my new plan ensures that anyone who wants to do Stock-Friendly both days won't see the same trails twice.

Let me know if you need me to send someone the new "trail plan." Right now it's all stored in my GPS, but I can lay it out in text or a spreadsheet if you need me to.

P.S. If anyone ran the Stock-Friendly trails Chris/stinky_finger (the guy with the yellow FJ Cruiser) took us on last year and you are thinking of going stock-friendly again this year... You're going to see some of the same trails as last year BUT some new ones too. The ones that we are using again this year will be run in the opposite direction, so even those will have a different feel.

Dave this may get revised. We have received in a number of registrations which may require more than one stock run. We will kee you posted.

Cool. I'd rather have two smaller groups out on the trails than one larger one.

Anyway, the "New Plan" I am referring to above can still be used for a "Trail 1" and "Trail 2" if you need. And it will be a lot better than the plan I originally submitted.

(After pre-running the trails I proposed I realized the "Trail 2" plan I submitted originally had way too many easy trails and only a couple of trails with a little bit of challenge -- yawn! My newer plan has a better mix of trails on both days.)

Let me know.

Important Insurance & Waiver FYI
We just found out that the Insurance we obtain for the event via the NEA requires their own waiver to be signed. So everyone will need to sign the new waiver when they check in at the tent.

We apologize for the inconvenience, thank you.

Hi Guys,

Just a couple things or questions.

1.) Since this is my first run and first time wheelin with my truck, I signed up for the stock trails. However, if I find on Saturday that I want to try a more difficult trail on Sunday, is it possible to change?

2.) Anyone bringing their kids on the trail with them? I'm bringing my 5 year old and was planning on bringing him wheeling with us.

3.) The camp site is now Gretchin's, correct?

We'll I think that's it. Can't wait for Friday. Going to crab my kid at school early and hopefully get up their by 3-4pm.

Thanks

1 Sundays runs are 1st come 1st served. Pretty much able to run any trail as long as someone else is
running it.

2 Kids do run the trails, just remember this is a dangerous hobby and to keep an eye out for your kid.

3 Correct

Looking forward to meeting you!
