Why is my lab Gator just sitting outside in the rain? Because genius here thought it would be a good idea to eat a thing of kinetic sand, jumping up on our desk to get it. Induced him to vomit and will be sitting right next to him all to to make sure he's OK. It was a small amount so I'm hoping he'll be fine.

I don't know, his face says that he didn't do it.........

Gator "Geeeeeez, so I broke into your sand box and had a snack, be happy it wasn't the cat......."

Or the cats sand box ;)

That was what I was implying :)

We have a trunk that holds the cat's sand box. It has two offset doors to prevent Gator from eating from that...

Good idea , don't think it'll work with horses though. They all eat horse poop, nasty critters, dogs

Well the cat woulda made for a rough day too lol. Probably not gotten sick though

Mmmmm-mmm
Feces pieces. Crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle.
Does it get any better than that?

No it wouldn't...if you asked our previous lab. Nasty .

So sorry to hear the sad news Ramon. Steph and I know the feeling all too well.

Thanks everyone for the kind reply, texts, etc.

I know many of you have been through it yourselves and it's never easy.

Well, the day had been coming for a long time, and yesterday we had to put down my best friend Splash. She was 3 weeks shy of her 14th birthday. She'd been dealing with hip dysplasia and Lumbosacra Disease for many years. The past few months her condition progressed pretty quickly. We tried every med imaginable, laser therapy, and dry needling (similar to acupuncture), but she'd really been suffering the last few days. We opted to have someone come to our home, which was nice because as her hips got bad, she hated riding in our trucks; I think she wasn't comfortable trying to stabilize herself during the ride.

Many here knew here, and knew she was by my side like glue. Tough day. But, the good news for us that I'll get more active in the club again. She hasn't been able to camp or really electively travel for sometime, which has been a huge contributor to our lack of participation.

Few of my favorite pics - younger days and near the end:

Just seeing this, our family has heavy hearts for you guys, we loved Splash, always enjoyed her excitement at dinner time. You know we have plenty of dog love to go around if you need a sloppy kiss from one of our pack, best regards my friend...

Good looking Lab. I am a sucker for labs, have had 2

Sorry to read about Splash, Ramon! I hope you are remembering the good times with Splash at your side right now.
