Congrats Pfran! We had ours in the saddle close to 1 year old, loved wheeling and still does.. My favorite question now from him (5 years old), "Dad, when are we going back to the desert?"

Death Valley: November 2012

I managed to convince 7 other Land Cruisers to go with me on an epic Death Valley adventure this past weekend (Nov 15-18). My goal was to cover as much ground as possible in 4 short days, see some sights in the park I had yet to make it to and avoid pavement at all costs. This was a fast paced, guys only, last hoorah before baby #2 arrives for me. The route was Baker, CA to Big Pine, CA via Harry Wade Road, Warm Springs Road, Mengel Pass, Goeler Canyon, Wingate Road, Panamint Springs, Keeler, Cerro Gordo Mine, Cerro Gordo Mine Road, White Mountain Talc Road, South Pass, Saline Valley Road, Hunter Mountain, Hidden Valley, Racetrack Road, Lippincot Road, Saline Valley, Steele Pass, Deckadera Canyon, Eureka Dunes and out to Big Pine via Big Pine Road. Whew, all in all 245 unpaved miles. The only paved section was a 30 mile stretch between Panamint Springs and Keeler.

Excellent Paul, Chris! Wish I could have joined you on this. Quick question, Why do you watermark your images? I understand the desire for protection/solicitation, unfortunately it distracts from the vision and Most "pros" don't do it. There are a lot of other ways to protect your work.

How did you set up for the moving shots that look like you were sitting on the roof of the truck? They are great.

Because I haven't in the past and they have ended up in calendars and magazines without my permission. Causes people to stop and think for a second before using my photos. If you want to see images without the copyright go to my website. It's flash so you can't right click and save. That copyright on these is pretty harsh I agree. I usually have it set for a low opacity but didn't this time for no particular reason.

I was standing up through the sunroof hand holding the camera while my co pilot drove. It's a "pro move"
