Nice tent! Did you clamp it to the cross bars or the side rails? I definitely see one of these in my future.

no interior pics.

I mounted it to the factory side rails with the provided hardware. Wind noise is really not bad

Crossing a rocky creek on the way to the camp site broke my factory belly skid and dinged my rocker panel.... Sliders are looking really appealing right now

100 Series with BFGATKO 275/65R-18....new shocks help

Got some new rubber this weekend on my 2005 100 and I know how much we like pics. There are many threads on the "what fits" subject, these fit great. Definitely look better than the stock Michelin's. This is the first on my long wish list of modifications.

Speaking of...having bought the truck about a year ago, I am new to LC modifications. I am not ready to do a full suspension upgrade, but my 100 has 61,000 miles and it is time for some new shocks. Was thinking about putting Old Man Emu lift kit on it when I can afford to, but was wondering if anyone could recommend shocks that would makes sense as a temporary solution ( a year or two) before I install the whole kit. Maybe some that I could keep/use with the kit at a later date.

Thank you for your suggestions!

Nice cruiser. Your OEM shocks are fine. Just ride them until you can upgrade.

First LC

Just purchased my first LC. I'm coming from a 4th gen 4runner that is modified. Selling her tomorrow, very sad to see her go. But I'm excited to start modding my LC! First is my 4runner and then a pic from my drive home in the LC. Bought it in Houston TX and drove it home to Bham WA last weekend. It was quite the road trip but worth it as I love the truck so far. Yes, it came with some bling bling 20's on it. They are coming off as soon as I find OEM LC 18's for it. Already shopping on eBay for them. Then come some 295/65-18 GY Duratrac's. Had them on my 4runner and loved them.

A good surf beach 3 hours from anything... Angola.
Tested the recently added Slee jerry can rack on pretty ugly corrugated roads with 3 full cans and it held up great. Very sturdy and well made.

Best color availabale right there or at least my favorite. BTW you can get wheels balanced with the weights on the inside if you ask.

Joshua Tree

Took a quick weekend camping trip to Joshua Tree NP. Spent a couple more nights in the RTT (helping with my goal to bring the cost/night down below the price of a room at the Four Seasons) and put in some some miles on the Slee springs.

Despite comically incorrect information on trail status, managed to pretty easily tackle Old Dale Road coming north from the park onto BLM land and eventually Gold Crown Road. Joshua Tree NP staff said I'd need 4 spare tires and an extreme "4x4" and that the road was completely impassable. Not so.

The trail starts to get interesting after this sign...

Slee's springs did great (not surprisingly), very easily handling the extra weight of a ton of camping gear, the tent, kids, etc.

Lots of interesting mines to explore here (Old Dale Mining District) and a ton of small trails to venture off on.

The next day, took Geology Tour Road to Berdoo Canyon. Was also told this canyon trail was not passable. What's with the park staff here? Other than a bunch of sharp rocks through the tighter parts of the canyon and the unnerving mashup of Bud Light and shotguns which is apparently common on the Indio end of this trail, this was a relatively easy trip.

wow, those should make it to the yearly LC calendar!

Used a Pull-Pal this weekend. Awesome device worth it's weight in gold if you travel alone in the desert, and they are made right here in Colorado.

Light Bar

FJFan, where'd you get your front light bar? I've been looking for something like that for my 98.
